Personal breakthrough: Maybe this helps someone, who thinks he may have problems with the jaw. My story: My jaw is shifted to the left. My teeth only come together properly on the right side. I mainly chewed on the right side. Because of this my right chewing muscles and right neck were always active. It was extremely unpleasant. I did all the Pri exercises from Neal's website everyday for almost 3 months. I learned to get some more weight on the left foot but I never got neutral. Now to the breakthrough: I noticed, when i swallow, only the left side of my tongue goes up to the roof of the mouth. I learned through lot's of trying, to activate more the middle part and right side of the tongue. First just raising the tongue, then integrating it into swallowing. Even if you have a narrow palate, and you can't get your tongue up (search for mewing) this still applies, because when the tongue is resting on the bottom, some muscles of the tongue are still active. This was it!!!! Now that I activate more of the center and right part of the tongue, my right neck finally releases. It makes sense, because the tongue is the antagonist of the masseter. And also active left tongue activates left hip flexor. As soon as I had this down, I immediately could become neutral and the exercises all worked 100 times better. I'm so happy that I finally solved it after 3 years learning about PRI. My jaw is still shifted to the left, but I can become neutral. Thank you Neal!!! Edit: The exercise at 2:54 helps to really activate the weaker side of the tongue. ruclips.net/video/wmtd6LIqDmc/видео.html Rotate your head a little bit in one side and try press the tongue up on the weaker side rotate a little bit in the other side and try. While doing the exercise, brace your core, don't be in anterior pelvic tilt, knees bent a little bit. The side where your tongue is weaker, your head is more in forward head posture, try to correct it especially on this side and the tongue will go up easier (it's about the back of the tongue, watch videos about mewing). You should also do the typical PRI exercises that are on Neal's website. It's not about strengthening muscles in Pri exercises, you have to learn which muscles need to activate together. Also it's important to do all four of the exercises that are in his programm. With the exercises it's not about repetition, it's more about teaching your brain what to feel and which muscles to activate. Once you sorted the problem with the tongue (if you have it), you will feel the correct muscles activate much easier, but you should start the exercises immediately, even if you haven't figured out the tongue posture, because the pri exercises also help you in getting the right tongue posture. All this only works if the jaw shift is not too severe in my opinion.
@@valentinstoqnov2953 it's more important to relax the tense side of the tongue, than to activate the other one, altough both are needed. It's really hard to relax it, if you used it this way probably all your life. I still have to think about it from time to time but my right scm and upper trap are relaxed all the time now.
Wow! I’ve been telling my dentist this for over a decade now. I grind my teeth in my sleep and I chew and rest my teeth on the right side 95% of the time. Neither of my dental insurances would not cover a splint and they are very good premiums. I just found a lab online that costs $200 for a splint. Directive Splints are designed to position the mandible in a specific relationship to the maxilla. Contact inclines against anterior teeth direct the mandible to a particular position of closure. No consideration of fossa repositioning through gnathic orthopedic appliances, such as alternative lightwire fixation (ALF) is given. Nocioceptive Trigeminal Inhibition (NTI) reflex splints do suppress the temporalis muscle, but clinically facilitates the cranio-cervical stabilizers and therefore is not recommended.

@@369stellar Thank you for replying. I've now know I need to take my jaw misalignment / tmj seriously as well. I've been thinking of treating my ADHD with diet as well. I've also noticed a worsening of mood and brain issues as the left side of my body has weakened: left foot now flat, tight left psoas and left nostril increasingly blocked. Good luck @369stellar. Crazy if the two main causes end up being diet and jaw misalignment. Right in front of us the whole time.
Imagine this theory: You’re a kid and your parents want you to get braces. As they put them on it’s painful and super stressful. This shifts your jaw and the rest of your body into the stress pattern. Not to mention, the braces place stress on the body by physically constricting the teeth and their gums. Now as adjustments to the braces are made, they make the teeth align “properly” while the jaw is shifted. Now, you take out the braces ( or don’t as some people get permanent retainer wires). Your body is no longer tensioned-by the braces. So you try to be confident and your body shifts into normal alignment, but now your teeth are crooked and the head isn’t supported properly. Perhaps this is why most people get stuck in this pattern? Now what can we do? Get Invisalign that’s purposefully “crooked” so that when it’s removed it lines the teeth up properly?
I think you are confused about what "alignment" means, and "properly" as well. You are thinking of yourself as a victim, and your parents as these people who wanted to make you suffer needlessly. Invisalign does the same thing as braces. Just in a different form factor.
I am left aic right bc pattern, got prescribed an oral splint after finding out i have cross bite. Was also prescribed glasses buty glassesblurr my left eye to make the world bigger on my left side.
this is the issue I still have and I knew it from long time ago, exactly same thing like you and your client. still having it, but ive learnt to relax that god damn jaw and doing slight pulses with the lips until I get contact on the left side teeth, this is how i got down actually from 3.75 on both eyes to 1.75 but its a constant reminder to get back that left teeth contact
This is very eye opening, I had a bad TBI a year ago and have been stuck with visual issues, and neck tension severe on my left side. I have a slight crossbite shifted to the left and am getting a splint later this week. Hoping this is a major game changer for me!
2:03 What other schools of thought is he referring to? I'm of the opinion that my asymettry is natural and I'm interested in comparing what PRI says vs other fields
Thats interesting. The PRI instructor I've spoken to told me the majority of men he sees, who have pelvic floor issues (which is what I have) usually have dental problems. The right side of my jaw hurts a lot, when I chew especially.
That doesn't surprise me. Humans have different "floors": the floor underneath us, the pelvic floor, and the occlusal floor which I'd say is the mandible. All three floors support the function of the other three. If one is unstable, it will influence the stability of the other two. If the dental floor is unstable, the floor of the pelvis and the floor under our feet likewise be unstable (or our brain will perceive it as unstable).
Thanks neal. Feeling lil bit better following your guidelines. From the day i am feeling better and neutral i am getting a sharp radiating pain around my right outside wrist joint, which is really irrirating and this pain is very new to me.. the pain is radiating from my wrist to outside forearm and also in fingers. though cant hold the neutral position all of the time but got the feeling of being neutral so i can understand the difference now in between being stuck in right stance and getting neutral. Thanks a lot.
This client will always need the split to stay on midline unless you expand the maxilla first, then you can lineup the midlines with a myobrace appliance.

Have you ever used acupressure to directly trigger the trigeminal and other reflex nerves to see if that affects the postural internal schema? And how does silent reflux play in as it’s said it can also trigger tmj and neck issues?
I would like to speak with you I had a major accident eighteen broken disks terrible problems with my jaw and neck I have cross bite to the right who can use for this I live this in Greece ? I live in northern Greece Kavala
My jaw is shifted to the left rather than the right. The right side of my face is lower than the left (ear, eye, mouth lower on right side). And my right neck muscles and jaw is really tight and short. Can you make sense of this?
in other videos you mentioned possibly needing to fix the bite first to shift a pattern. with regards to PRI philosophy, where in the body should you start? for example if a bite was off, and it shifted the pelvis, could PRI techniques return that bite? or vice versa... incidentally, the book 'cure tooth decay' is great in general but has a useful chapter about bite near the end, and how craniosacral specialists can manipulate the head to shift the bite. i wonder if PRI does anything like that. EDIT: I think i understand it better. basically when trying to get neutral you can still use the jaw and bite to stay in the pattern and the splint keeps you out of that pattern. i suppose it just depends on how much you (psychically / prioproceptively) rely on your bite for stability.
You can also move bone by moving teeth, since the teeth are the elements that form the occlusion. I got my right torsion pattern from a single premolar extraction on my right side when I was still growing. I’m now an adult in my mid twenties and I have a midline discrepancy because my teeth shifted to the right to close the gap. I believe PRI should be combined with a splint but also orthodontics in cases like mine where dental movement is needed. I don’t know how much craniosacral therapy does though. By the way I also read the book “cure tooth decay”!
you mentioned that the goal of the splint is to break his brain's pattern, if his brain doesnt break the habit then what? i just got back from the dentist and am in the process of getting a splint for this, but my dentist said that its more than likely that i'll have to wear it for life...what do you think about that?
Is there ever a root cause? It gets a bit confusing since it is feet, hips, ribs, breathing, teeth, tongue, palate, eyes etc i know it all connects but i wonder if there is one area contributing to all of this or it is people with multiple issues working together/against each other?
I'm in a lower orthotic for over a year now, can't live without it, helps enormously with head neck jaw pain. Is the goal to eventually not need a jaw orthotic after working with pri physio? How do I wean off of it? Thanks so much for your amazing videos❤
My whole jaw line or lower part of my face is pointing towards the left. My midline is off, but don't know if this comes from my upper or lower jaw.. also crossbites on both sides. I had gone through 10+ years of orthodontic treatment in my life so far (I'm 27). I'm stuck in the left AIC/Right BC pattern but probably TMCC as well (from what I self diagnosed from your videos and website)... From all of my dental history, I don't know if there is a way to get better, especially since there are no PRI trainers in my area. I am a student, so going back into orthodontic treatment is not really an option. I would totally contact you, but I am in Europe and not sure if the time difference would be an issue..
In the bottom picture where his teeth are aligned... is it the splint itself that is forcing the teeth to be aligned? Or is it the fact that his body is now stabilising using the correct muscles as a result of the PRI techniques which has allowed his jaw/neck to relax and the splint is just used to ensure his teeth do not touch?
@@NealHallinan because of the pain? I have addressed all body parts through pri techniques. Like you, I have a crossbite and no contact on my left side.
Mine does this but to the left. My left eye is much weaker. I have a slight twist in my spine. Who do I go to for a splint? And will this correct all the alignment
But if one has a jaw to the right and the teeth 'fit' into eachother in that pattern, one will probably need dental work after the splint right? My font teeth fit very uncomfortably on top of the bottom ones when I center my jaw, they clash basically... oh shit...
Hey Neal, curious as to the patients outcome once he got the splint? I’ve been in PRI therapy for 17 visits now once a week and have had great success some days and other days are terrible. I watched this video and checked my bite to find my teeth do not line up like showed. Thanks for the educational videos, love them!
Well, teeth can cause issues like what you describe. Some days work great, others it's like you've never done any PRI before. I've had that experience myself.
Hey Neal, I’m in a right torsion pattern and am wondering if the splint that I am having made doesn’t shift my midline back to center will it still hold me in the pattern?
Hey, just wanted to share with you, Neal. A thing I noticed is when I wear a beekeeper's hat with the grid pattern in front, I noticed I had better balance. I felt like I was using my left and right side of the body instead of feeling constant resistance like I usually do. I was thinking of maybe creating glasses or sunglasses which have that pattern on them on the inside so that you can have the same effect a bit more accessible but I gave up in a week cuz it looks like too much of a hassle (I live in a poor country, unlikely to find such glasses or have custom made ones). Could you please look into this phenomenon
When i am searted i stay as you say in your video about sitting... But i notice that dispite of the fact that i am seated to the left my jaw wont relax into the right side. The jaw just keeps going into the left. Was not supose, when we are in the left side, the jaw moves to the right and when on the lright side the jaw moves to the left? Thaknk you
Sorry, i forgot to add that i just found out that i have a hidden crossbite, hidden by childhood ortho. The orthodontist plan is to use an MSE to expand my maxilla and upright my lower teeth, eventually to eliminate crossbite, open up my airway and improve tongue space. I do have airway issues snd UARS, I'm also going to need at least lower jaw surgery snd possible double jaw surgery at the end of this process. Daunting and I worry how my body will cope during this process. Any thoughts? Thanks
A right torsion specifically refers to a unique pattern regarding temporal bone/sphenoid/and occiput position. If the jaw is pulled to the left, it's likely something called a Left Sidebend.
Thank you for all your videos! What if you have a cross bite to the left? As a young teen my orthodontist tried to correct my cross bite with permanent retainers and braces. At this time I was an elite competitive tennis player dealing with painful Osgood Schlatters on my right knee. I also had many ankle sprains which tells me I had poor hip stability. The orthodontist work helped correct the cross bite a little bit, but to this day I still have a cross bite to the left. Is this affecting my neck which gets very tight and always feels like it has to crack by tipping it to the left?
That's typical of the right TMCC pattern. When stuck on your right leg (left AIC pattern), the right neck muscles (right SCM) gets overactive and shifts the right side of the jaw forward slightly via the TMJ. This often results in a jaw shifting to the left and creating the crossbite on the left.
Hey Neal, I'm aware that something is not right with my left side and I am focusing more on my right eye. Therefore, I sometimes thought that walking with my right eye closed might help. I see I wasn't wrong. Yes, it's because of our jaws and teeth. My teeth are just like in the picture. I think the problem is that the tips of the upper teeth are pointing to the right. My question is, is surgery the only way to fix this permanently? and if we don't fix it, is it possible to solve the postural issues?
Neal, I deal with crossbite (tension in right side of jaw and right side of neck) worse right eye (it’s 4.5 and the left is 4.25 and astigmatism in both), right shoulder pain, left hip pain, left knee pain and tight right arch. I sound similar to you. Would you recommend that I try the right eye trick that you do with your prescription ?
my PRI doctor suggested I get my maxilla expanded...after a few scans it looks like I also have a deviated septum, could this be holding me in the right tmcc, right aic pattern??? or do you think the maxilla is more of the culprit (ps i had braces as a teen)
Hi Neal! Wanted to ask the following question...! I have been missing my upper right sixth tooth for 10 years! I decided to conduct an experiment ... I folded a small piece of paper and put it in the right part of the jaw between my teeth! I felt my psoas become less tight, I also noticed that my left hamstring became less tight! Could it be that the problem with posture is occlusion? In your experience, how much can the absence of the sixth tooth from above affect?!
I have permanent numbness on my lower right jaw from jaw surgery over 20 years ago. I have been through 6 years of PT for low back, right SI joint pain. Could this be causing my issues? It's only lower right side teeth that I can't feel come together with the top teeth. I also have vocal cord dysfunction and abnormal diaphragm patterns. I am currently wearing a retainer to keep my top teeth straight but only at night. I see a postural restoration PT in a couple weeks. I am hoping they can figure me out. I have no internal rotation of my hips and now experience right pelvic pain. 😪 Thanks for the video!!
@@NealHallinan so where do I start, ice also looked at right foot pronation which I lack and wear barefoot minamilsit shoes. Neal I have an underbite and I seem to be clenching on the right side, my left canine is not making contact at all with my bottom teeth. I want to go to a dentist to get a splint to atleast reposition for contact, but I don't know who to go to. Which dentist did you go to, I'm in Connecticut, so I'm fairly close to make a trip.
What if my teeth are a cause of the jaw being crooked, it's going to the left though, and what if I were to get veneers, could that fix or cause a problem? Thanks Neal, your videos are gold 👐
That's where it gets complicated. Some people need dental work to allow them to become "neutral". You'd have to work with a PRI therapist to guide you.
Do these types of mouth splints only work if it’s one made for the bottom set of teeth? I have one that the dentist made for clenching my teeth in my sleep but it’s for the top set of teeth. I swear, it’s insane how much I experience that’s just like what you describe. I feel the right side of my teeth more than the left, especially the right K9’s, and since I’ve been stuck in whatever pattern this is for god knows how long, the right side of my teeth are smaller than my left side from decades of clenching with an uneven, crowded bite. I got Invisalign a couple years ago, thinking the reason my teeth are grinding down on the right side was because of my bite (which it partially was I’m sure) but the problem still persists even with a straight bite, I still want to rest on the right K9.
Hi chris have u been able to fix this? I have left k9 contact but no right one, or i kinda do but its not proper contact, i had a palate expander and its worked great beacuse I got a rid of a crossbite, i will now have to wear braces and elastics to align my jaw and midline, and also try to close the spaces on my right side in which I have less overall teeth contact, and im not seeing any pri therapists cuz im from italy and there isnt any, I just hope braces and elastics work, i really cant deal with the pain anymore
@@kyrylo31 no I haven’t. Upon further research and time experimenting with this, turns out I have the typical pattern of the mandible protruding to the left where left Canines touch too much, however there seems to be an additional layer of compensatory jaw misalignment where my right canines touch at a cross bite angle too. It’s like whenever I get my top and bottom teeth to line up at the midline, there is a cross bite where the right canines touch at a horrible angle that has caused damage to both of those teeth. If I let the jaw go where it wants, then the midline shifts hard back to the left with the left canines touching too much. No dentist has a clue what’s going on with me and doesn’t want to touch me with a 10 foot pole. My PRI therapist sees what is going on but has no idea what to tell me or what to do for me either. Essentially I feel no one around me is equipped to actually be able to help me. PRI desperately needs a database on their website of dentists who are knowledge enough and equipped to deal with these sort of things. I looked on their website and couldn’t find any information on this issue.
@@Fillet_O_Chris Damn man, I also feel much more contact on the left side not only canines but molars too, before my palate expander i didnt even have right side teeth contact because of my crossbite, now I do have right side contact even with my molars but I guess its just not enough, i also have this crossbite angle when trying to touch the right canine, its crazy man, what i know for sure is that my midline is not aligned, and there is a lot of space in the right side so thats why i do not have that much contact, im almost at the breaking point of saying that pri is bullshit, i also asked other pri therapists for this and they all want the money even for something really small like just a question, im now getting braces to close the spaces and elastics for the midline and jaw alignment, on the 30th of march, it will be a long journey and i'll try to update you how it goes
@@kyrylo31 to my knowledge from studying PRI and watching countless videos of Neal’s, it sounds like overactive neck musculature (particularly the right SCM) that’s common in the right TMCC pattern - that’s causing the cross bite on the right side of the teeth. I could be wrong but that’s my guess and what makes the most sense to me. The issue of getting out of the right TMCC pattern is still beyond me, seeing as none of the exercises are working/have worked for me. I got Invisalign back in 2019 so my teeth SHOULD be perfectly straight, yet the cross bite is still there. The dentist had zero answers for me either. He made me a maxillary splint for an actual affordable price which I’m thankful for but it doesn’t do squat for fixing the cross bite, so no help there either. The PRI therapist I’m seeing fits the description of what you said about the ones you talked to as well. I’ve never seen such a greedy professional in my life. They won’t even as much answer a simple question without demanding you pay them. Not a good look at all for PRI. The difference in how her and my optometrist treats me is night and day. My optometrist has actually talked on the phone with me for close to 30 minutes without asking for anything in return. My PRI therapist would NEVER do that. It took my PRI therapist nearly 6-8 visits before she even seemed to take anything seriously and had me work on actual PRI techniques like trying to restore the left ZOA and establishing left AFIR. I’ve been doing the exercises for close to two months and haven’t noticed any changes. I’ve never in my life tried to overcome something so incredibly stubborn and difficult that it’s made me nearly lose all hope in ever being able to overcome these massive imbalances between my right and left side. Best of luck to you as well. I will update you and anyone else if things ever change for me.
My jaw seems to shift to the left with more molar/canine contact on the left. My jaw on the left side looks like it is lower than the right, and the right side of my face is more compact. Any idea what's going on here? Obviously without a picture it would be difficult to tell without examining me, but any information helps. There are no PRI trained people near where I live (Toronto).
@@NealHallinan Cool, that's what I figured. I'm continuing to do the four exercises on your website and am making fantastic progress. Thanks again not only for the videos, but for engaging with commenters. I'm sure you're very busy, so it's really appreciated.
What percentage of your patients or PRI patients in general need a dental orthotic? And in PRI could you not test for occlusal interference just by checking ROM with teeth in acquired maximum intercuspation and then test again with no tooth contact and the tongue stabilizing the mandibular and maxillary interface?
I don't really know. I've never kept track. I've had quite a few recently, though. There is a course that PRI teaches for dentists. www.posturalrestoration.com/programs-courses/tertiary-courses/occlusal-cervical-restoration In regards to how we test: The whole point of PRI is that our inherent asymmetries lead to very predictable movement restrictions due to very predictable over-afferentation on one side (the right) and/or under afferentation from the other (the left). It's usually the right side of the TMJ/neck musculature that is over-active (Right TMCC pattern) even when the occlusion looks perfectly even. When asked, the vast majority of PRI patients/clients will say they "sense" their right molars more than the left (again, even if occlusion looks balanced). So we are checking to see if removing right molar contact and/or increasing left molar contact (via a tongue depressor) inhibits the overactivity of the Right TMCC pattern.

Thank you for this video, Neal. In the video you posted on 9/1/20 (Why You Have to Breathe with Your Left Diaphragm), you briefly mentioned that lack of dorsiflexion was due to the left AIC right BC pattern but you didn't go into detail. Can you please explain what's happening physiologically that restricts dorsiflexion when someone is stuck on their right side?
BLACKx114 it’s because they can’t pronate their right foot and shift their weight to the left side. The right foot has to pronate to achieve dorsiflexion of the right ankle.
Hello, great video, quick question my right hip is higher but I feel unstable just standing on my right leg and super stable when I am just standing on my left leg, is this stability issue common for people with left AIC??
Some people do feel more stable on their left leg, but it's almost always because they are using compensatory stability. In other words, they are stabilizing their left side using their hip flexors and low back muscles rather than the correct hip musculature. It does keep them stable, but it's "fake" stability and is counter-productive in the long run.
so sir if a person is in left aic right bc right tmcc pattern, and has misaligned jaw and teeth which should be fixed first orthodontsist treatment should be done first or pri ?or both together?
I have exactly the same problem , will try out and update

@@369stellar Thank you for replying.
I've now know I need to take my jaw misalignment / tmj seriously as well.
I've been thinking of treating my ADHD with diet as well. I've also noticed a worsening of mood and brain issues as the left side of my body has weakened: left foot now flat, tight left psoas and left nostril increasingly blocked.
Good luck @369stellar.
Crazy if the two main causes end up being diet and jaw misalignment. Right in front of us the whole time.
Imagine this theory:
You’re a kid and your parents want you to get braces.
Almost overwhelmed by your brilliance.
Thanks, Irene 😊

@@NealHallinan Thanks for the reply Neal, I find it very interesting. Have my first PRI session soon so hopefully I can begin to fix my issues.
@@NealHallinan how come there is not much talk about the pelvic floor then? It's mostly feet and dental.

Can ALFS do the same?
in other videos you mentioned possibly needing to fix the bite first to shift a pattern. with regards to PRI philosophy, where in the body should you start? for example if a bite was off, and it shifted the pelvis, could PRI techniques return that bite? or vice versa...
incidentally, the book 'cure tooth decay' is great in general but has a useful chapter about bite near the end, and how craniosacral specialists can manipulate the head to shift the bite. i wonder if PRI does anything like that.
I've had 10+ years of orthodontics too and in a similar situation. did you manage to fix it a little bit?
Same problem. There are no PRI specialists in my country (in Slovenia).
One correction. Its not the midlines of teeth that matter its actually lip tie on bottom and top that need to match and align. Not teeth midlines
Does the splint have to cover the back molar too?
Rather than a splint, would braces be a more permanent alternative?
Maybe. depends on the person. Some people can't tolerate braces.
@@NealHallinan because of the pain? I have addressed all body parts through pri techniques. Like you, I have a crossbite and no contact on my left side.
Hi, is there a solution for frontal open bite? I don't really want to put braces or Invisalign so desperately looking for solutions
Is the PRI facial bones treatment similar to craniosacral therapy? Thank you
What if my bite hangs out to the left (not yo the right like yours)? That doesn't make any sense with the pattern isn't it?
Mine does this but to the left. My left eye is much weaker. I have a slight twist in my spine. Who do I go to for a splint? And will this correct all the alignment
But if one has a jaw to the right and the teeth 'fit' into eachother in that pattern, one will probably need dental work after the splint right? My font teeth fit very uncomfortably on top of the bottom ones when I center my jaw, they clash basically... oh shit...
It's possible. But you never know until your body is resting in a neutral state.
@@NealHallinan Good to know!
An oral splint can reverse cranial torsion?
How does one obtain one of these oral splints?
Do PRI credentialed therapists make these splints or would I have to meet a specialized dentist?

Hey Neal, curious as to the patients outcome once he got the splint? I’ve been in PRI therapy for 17 visits now once a week and have had great success some days and other days are terrible. Hey Neal,
I’m in a right torsion pattern and am wondering if the splint that I am having made doesn’t shift my midline back to center will it still hold me in the pattern?
Does it HAVE to acrylic, Neal?
Thanks
Can you have a right torsion pattern from the heel to the neck but have the jaw pulled to the left?
A right torsion specifically refers to a unique pattern regarding temporal bone/sphenoid/and occiput position. If the jaw is pulled to the left, it's likely something called a Left Sidebend.
@@NealHallinan Can right torsion be corrected by correcting the bite with braces?
@@NealHallinan do a video about what you know about left sidebend please. This video was great for understand right torsion.
Hi Neal,
Do your normal glasses have the astigmatism correction or was it just for the prisms?
I have some astigmatism correction in my normal glasses
Would you recommend that I try the right eye trick that you do with your prescription ?
my PRI doctor suggested I get my maxilla expanded...after a few scans it looks like I also have a deviated septum, could this be holding me in the right tmcc, right aic pattern??? or do you think the maxilla is more of the culprit (ps i had braces as a teen)
what did you do in the end?
Wow I’m so sorry to hear that. How is your progress going?
Can this be from loss of molar occlusion on the left? Due to dentist drilling?
It could be from lots of things. Anything that results in a strong right dominant pattern

Crossbite was on the right btw
It sounds like a typical right TMCC pattern from what you are describing. Only testing can verify, however.
There is a course that PRI teaches for dentists.
www.posturalrestoration.com/programs-courses/tertiary-courses/occlusal-cervical-restoration
In regards to how we test: The whole point of PRI is that our inherent asymmetries lead to very predictable movement restrictions due to very predictable over-afferentation on one side (the right) and/or under afferentation from the other (the left).
What if my jaw was shifted to the left?
I am in the same situation. I hope Neal answers your question
How long did it take for him to see midline lineup after wearing splint? I am on day 2 now of wearing splint and notice my cross bite is still there when at rest
How did your situation go a year later?
@@omarcoptan8666 honestly i feel like daily yoga, meditation, and the mckenzie method have done more for me than pri. I still do some pri every day but the splint seems like it didnt do anything. I dont wear it anymore. The 3k or whatever they charge at Hruska is a rip off.
So if someone is feeling their left canines is normal R TMCC ?
We should be able to feel canines on both sides. This issue is if you feel one side more than the other.
If you have a crossbite and there are teeth blocking your bite from being centered. Is a splint worth it or would you get the crossbite fixed? Is it possible for the teeth to shift?I can only feel my right molar, no contact on left. Left AIC/ Right BC. Right piriformis syndrome.

@@NealHallinan Oh, right. That makes perfect sense. Thank you!
