      Fun little bit of info, Linda Hamilton has an identical twin sister that works in the medical field in real life. She came and played the parts in the film where you see two of them. The dream part in the playground and the end when the T1000 was doubling as her.

      There should not be a Round 3! Do not see Terminator 3 or any of the other sequels. It’s just Terminator and Terminator 2. That’s it. Basically Arnold just makes one more good movie (True Lies) before his career goes down the drain and he decides to run for governor.

      There's a Special Edition that's a bit longer with several cool alternate scenes. Worth checking out on RUclips....especially the sequence where John and Sarah have to remove the T-800's computer chip to help him blend in better but Sarah threatens to smash the chip since she thinks they are safer without him. Powerful stuff and shows the seeds of John becoming a wise leader someday.

    Fun fact: Robert Patrick, the actor who plays the T-1000, trained himself to fire a handgun without blinking, something that is nearly impossible to do. Additionally, Robert Patrick was a track star back in school. He trained himself to breathe only through his nose while running to sell the idea of being a machine. He also got himself into such a good running shape that he was told to slow down when chasing John on the motorbike because he was so fast that he kept catching up.

      There's very few other movies that are done so perfectly from beginning to end. This film has literally no parts that are unnecessary. Everything builds this this epic story to it's big finale. I question how come film writers have gotten worse and can't write out something this coherent and big scale anymore? I suppose it does happen sometimes. Avengers: Infinity War was a culmination of 10 years of build up through other films, leading to that epic war for the universe. But I still feel like in the 80s and 90s they managed to make more high quality films. Shawshank Redemption, The Matrix, Braveheart, The Silence of the Lambs, Gladiator, Fight Club, Dark City, American Psycho (okay, that's year 2000 technically). But yeah feels like a lot of the really good stuff was in the 90s. Why was it such a good time period of well written, big films?

      Yeah, but he did not explain how the T-1000 works. We never had a POV from the T-1000 like we did with the T-800. We don't know what his systems look like. It also seems pretty obvious that he doesn't have the main Terminator chassis, since he's like, punching jelly and punching a block of lead at the same time. He also seems to be composed of millions of drops of liquid metal, which have some level of self-conscience (as they seek one another to form back into the T-1000 when he is shattered), but it appears that he only gains intelligence/decision-making when most or all drops of liquid metal are bonded together.

    Fun fact: What some people got confused with sometimes with T1and T2, they thought it was two different machines, since T1 was referred to as a T-800, and T2 was referred to as T-101, but they are in fact the same machine (since they were built in an assembly line), T-800 is the endoskeleton (Cyborg), while the T-101 is the living outer skin tissue. (Basically T-101 is Arnie's face)

    • @sorrenblitz805
      @sorrenblitz805 13 дней назад

      Actually, and I hate this because both are actually T-800's. But, nobody ever says T-800. The only time it's shown in the first two movies is briefly on the POV/HUD shots of the Terminator. Kyle says "Not a man, a machine, cyborg, Cybernetic Organism, Cyberdyne Systems Model 101." But also briefly mentions the 600 series.

    • @sorrenblitz805

I like the darker/grittier/more serious mood of the 1st one better than the more polished popcorn-blockbuster flair of T2. T2 didn't "outdo" the first one, it's just a preference wich one you like more. Both are great, and there are lots of people in both camps.

      @@mrtveye6682 I totally agree. The two movies are too different to compare. T2 was written to be a blockbuster and quite frankly, a big reason for its success was the groundbreaking T1000 special effects. I remember being blown away by them and all the reviewers saying they were extraordinary. The movie is fabulous, for sure, but I’m not sure it was better than T1. Surely a bigger success but that doesn’t make it better. Those garbage Fast and Furious movies make tons of cash and they are absolute trash.

      But it wouldn't be fair to reduce just to that. T2 is IMO peak 90s blockbuster cinema, it's well written, it got cool lines and action for days, it has it's cheesy humour moments and is fun to watch.
      Arnie and Cameron followed that trend and took it even more over the top with True Lies (another prime example of peak 90s blockbuster cinema - great movie, pure entertainment).
      I agree, blockbuster doesn't equal quality in general, but there ist definitely good stuff too. T2 is. great IMO. Like I said, I just like the darker and grittier feel of the first one. The extended cut isn't that much longer. The added scenes are so brief that it doesn't do anything to the pacing, unlike ALIENS where just one of the added scenes was almost 10 minutes long just by itself.

The keys in the one case, leading to hitting him with the baton. And, the other guy grabs the arm with the needle, she breaks his nose, and while he's recoiling, she pushes on his chest to knock him over. Very realistic fight scenes.

    T3 is not an altogether bad flick, it just had the bad luck to be the first Terminator film after T2. At least a reaction to the Staff Sgt. Candy deleted scene. That was gold.
    Terminator: Dark Fate is kinda ehhh...but it's as close to T2 as you get with the actors getting older, and really not having anywhere to go with the story. Can't do the whole War Of The Machines in ninety minutes.
    And while not a Termy film, Last Action Hero is worth a watch.

    You'll notice it was never shown that the T1000 takes the cop's clothes. We assume he did, but because its never shown, we dont know yet that he actually mimicked his cloths. This film revolutionised CGI in films, and it still looks as good as anything today, over 33 years later. One of the greatest films ever made. Great reaction to a legendary classic.

    The only complaint I have about this movie is the T-1000 couldn't come through the time portal because he's not organic material. The reason Reese told Dr. Silberberg in the first movie as to why he couldn't bring back any advanced weapons from the future was because only organic material can travel through the portal. The T-800 could go because his metal endoskeleton was covered in organic flesh. The T-1000 is a polymemnetic alloy aka. liquid metal ie. inorganic material. When he traveled through the time portal he may have looked like a naked man but he wasn't.

    • @4Kandlez
      @4Kandlez 4 месяца назад +2
