I would even be the staffer who would bring you both cold water. To walk into a room with that much honor, greatness, victory and majesty is so compelling. Professor Karen this is my first timing seeing you in fullness you are always head and torso on other lives, you are very remarkable and your contribution to this planet pours out in the fullness. Miss Karen! I LOOOOOVED THIS INTERVIEW!! 👋🏾She👋🏾 is👋🏾 My👋🏾 Auntie👋🏾 in👋🏾 my👋🏾 head👋🏾!! My mom and I were on the road listening to the interview. My mom was listening to her who is older than her and didn't really take to her much (she also wasn't feeling well too). But that's ok. Different life paths of things to have gone through that my mom is not able to relate to and I understand that everything ain't for everybody. The first book of hers "Mother of Hollywood" is a must read via audiobook. I can't wait to hit up her new audiobook with her wisdom, insight, wicked humor and her honesty!!🙂😆

Jennifer Lewis: "I'm powerful because I tell the truth, and because I'm honest !" So many of us need to hear and ingest that message. So many of us believe that we're protecting ourselves and others by keeping secrets, telling each other only partial truths, and/or being unwilling to discuss everything openly and honestly.
There's another RUclips channel I watch called Living Lchaim / Kosher Money. After listening to several episodes of Jews talking with other Jews about how to live Jewish, I realized that the success of that community is not just the seriousness with which they take formal education, or a natural skill with money (the series discusses lots of Jewish financial failures); their success stems largely from a cultural willingness to discuss everything. I personally grew up in a black American family that was not shy to discuss any topic; as a result, we've avoided many problems because we talked things through and found solutions by getting feedback from one another. Not all of those discussions are pleasant, but we are willing to have truthful (even unpleasant) discussions. Lies, secrets, and half-truths are more much distasteful.
Also, we must realize that people make decisions with the information they have. If we don't talk honestly and openly with people, they'll make decisions based on incomplete information -- but we'll be mad at them for making the resulting mistakes. That's quite unfair.
No one ever stayed angry at you for telling them the truth -- so, always be willing to be honest with people.

Good Tuesday afternoon to you and an outstanding video post. Reply: Not just a native Detroit, MI USA lady of many talents. She's done superb work on "Tyler Perry's Meet The Browns." She did an outstanding voice character role in Disney's "The Princess And The Frog" as Mama Odie. My favorite role by her was as "Dean Davenport" on Season 5 and the final season of "A Different World." To which I correspond with Actress Ajay Saunders about my all-time favorite episode of the show from that season. It's called "Somebody Say Ho!" To which the characters Terrell (Actor: Patrick Malone) and Charmaine (Actress: Karen Melina White) were in a dispute about the inappropriate term. They held court and had to adjudicat the dispute and Terrell's possible suspension from Hillman. Dean Davenport was the Administrator over the hearing while Freddie (Cree Summer) and Dorian (Bumper Robinson) defended their clients. It turns out Gina (Ajay Saunders) was the actual perpetrator and not Terrell. That was one of the more important and enlightening episodes of the many they did that I remembered. It was definitely Dean Davenport's "On my list" was the show stealer.
Loved her book. Both book and audible.
