Jenifer Lewis is an actor, author, and activist who has enjoyed a long career on Broadway and in Hollywood, but she’s never forgotten where she came from. In a visit back home last fall, Lewis came to Webster University, her alma mater, and paid a bittersweet visit to her hometown of Kinloch.
Living St. Louis devotes a full half-hour to Ruth Ezell’s profile of the woman known as “The Mother of Black Hollywood.”
