Crowds cheering for Britt is the kind of response they wanted her to get as a babyface but never got. As a heel, her meteoric rise to the top has been great to see. Really hope she dethrones Shida but with both women showcasing their skills and having a great match 🤼♀️
I think they gave Shida a new belt so she could have her moment as champion in front of a live crowd. Well played AEW👍🏻

Don’t know what problem the Spanish announcer dude had with her accent. Shida’s English is totally fine and this was her first live in ring promo in English. So kudos to her

Whoa, what's this about? I hadn't heard about this, pretty terrible to mock Shida.
@@wheelchairwhacko5019 if you are in another country and watch it through streaming services, you are not shown commercials. So if a match is still going, you still see the match and it is commentated. However if nothing is going on you basically just see the Dynamite logo and the commentators are muted. However this Friday on the Spanish stream, they failed to mute the mics of the Spanish announce table. This was before the Shida segment and one of the Spanish announcers then went on to fun of her Japanese accent into his still hot mic.
That incident was dealt with swiftly by Tony Khan and AEW Execs. Good for them. No need to dwell on the negative. Onto Double or Nothing. I stand with Shida, mi campeona, my champion!

Hikaru Shida was absolutely smokin’ hot this week on dynamite! Hair was super beautiful, nice red dress, her usual eye makeup was on point, and she had the cutest big smile on her pretty face!

No disrespect to other Japanese wrestlers,as they are some excellent in-ring workers among them, but Hikaru Shida has the best English of them all. AEW should really give her more promos to do as she clearly is much more than good looks and kick-ass ability.

Britt and Shida are such great foils for one another. I know they're gonna deliver a stellar match in terms of performance and story telling. As a fan I'm really invested and can see it going either way and I'd be excited regardless of who wins. Shida is so good with bringing intensity in the ring and her promo work has greatly improved, which gives me hope that we will see more mic time from her in the future so she can bring that element into whatever feud she's involved in next. Britt has proven how committed she is as a performer for furthering a narrative, her promos are fire, and if she wins I'm very curious to see who she can elevate with her in the title scene.

@@silversilva7555 She probably will. Britt is a part time wrestler (she is a real dentist after all), and I don't see her holding onto that for very long....make sure to mock me if Dr. Baker is still the champion a few months later.
