NGL, this match was a pretty prime example of how sometimes AEW's referees are made to look like absolute dopes, with Paul Turner just letting Jamie and Rebel get away with the constant interference. Kind of soured my appreciation for the match as a whole.

Also, him kicking Rebel off of ringside when he was supposed to take the belt off Baker's hands first. Look how she has to walk up to him and hand him the belt

The only thing I didn't like about this match is that I felt that there was too much interference. But overall it was a fantastic match!
yeah there was a couple of times where it was ridiculous the referee didnt send them out of the ringside

Ni this was bad, communication is an issue. Curb stomps were horrible, i mean hell, you'd have to be in the NBA in order to get the height you would need to curb stomp riho.
My prediction? Tension will get high between Hayter and Baker. Thunder Rosa will challenge for the belt. Hayter screwed Baker in the title match. Rosa's the new AEW Women's Champion, and Hayter-Baker feud begin.

Given the vibe during the match, I was fully expecting Hayter to clock Britt with the belt afterwards, but they hugged it out 😞 Since it's the 2nd time they've teased a split maybe third times the charm?
Yes, i was also thinking that jamie hayter just going to turn of britt baker today but AEW wants this thing to happen uptill beach break.
Its at least the 3rd time one hits the other by mistake...

Britt Baker and Riho are truly extraordinary. The close call ups and the teasing of Jamie Hayter turn on Baker was pretty good to conclude *Battle of the Belts.* Job well done, ladies.
Aew giving the main event slot to the ladies and they delivered 💯💯 Britt baker has to be the most reliable woman in the company. Smooth in the ring and on the mic as well

This was truly a excellent match! Riho and Britt executed and sold their moves flawelessly. It amazes me how strong a wrestler Riho is given how slight of build she is, but her moves aren't weak. they are power moves. Fantastic

I want Ruby Soho to win it. She was supposed to win the TBS title but Tony Khan wants "diversity" and gave it to the inexperienced and botch-fest Jade Goldberg

we all knew britt was going to win because they kept mentioning that britt has never defeated riho so this match was kinda predictable but aew did a great job in my opinion of making it look like riho was going to win.

I think Riho had that match won if Britt's floozies didn't interfere in the match like they always do. So, that pretty much says that Britt can't win a match without help, and she is no champion but a cheater.

Most heels cheat or use distractions… especially Asuka and Kari sane when they were tag champs

Yeah, I'm getting bored of it. I go into her matches thinking "Let me guess, Britt will win yet again." I think she should have dropped the title to Thunder Rosa already and could be in a feud with Jamie right now.

I had mixed feelings on this match. My main issues with this match were:
- The amount of interference allowed.
- The fact that a decent number of moves were severely botched, take for example, the double upkick, it was to Riho's gut, but she (and the announcers) played it off as if they were to the face.
- That it felt like this match was backseated just to progress a storyline with Dr. Britt Baker and her "group".
While, I felt that a lot of the match had great moves, I felt like this was more insulting than not.
Thumbs up to Riho for a valiant effort. Too bad she lost. Her double stomp on Rebel's rear end looked brutal. Thunder Rosa will definitely be next in line for a title shot.
Why do you need 2 people out there 2 help with the matches..it gets old..storyline gets old..how 1 on 1..then help comes ...refs are a joke..

Sorry but this was just stupid. The Ref is made to look stupid when that should've been disqualification and they love talking about how they will follow the so called ring rules yet it's the same garbage that AEW still hasn't improved in the women's division since day 1 and it's been over 2 years. And no, this is not about britt being a heel, this is just bad booking and idea behind it doesn't make any sense.
I hope JR improvised that line at 4:21 because that was so clever
this was a disgrace of a title match - how can they allow so much ring interference ? It took away the seriousness of a title match!

This wasn't executed very smoothly. I liked the last sequence of moves but the execution was sloppy and looked fake. And all the interference was executed sloppy too and took away from the match.
The feud between Jamie and Britt building up reminds me of the Batista vs HHH feud that was built up from 04-05. This is quite interesting
How can Brit's wrestling be so messy like a year into being champ? She has Shiida, Riho, hell- Rosa there. Surely she could learn some smoothness and coordination from them?

Huge AEW fan here. I know you guys are doing the “can she be champ without her cronies interfering?” Storyline… and short answer. No. Riho carries the water in every encounter between the two. Britt has potential and I hope she gets there… but right now she’s about your 8th best female wrestler. Not tryin to be a negative dick but Britt needs to drop that strap if you want to showcase female wrestling at the highest stage.
Britt Baker is in a league of her own. Dare I say way better than Becky Lynch or Charlotte.
I don't get the haters at all. This was a killer match. Even Rebel and Hayter played their parts well on the outside. Can't wait for the inevitable Hayter vs Baker feud.

I am only a causal Aew fan, but I put Riho in the Hangman Page category of what is the character aside from being a good in ring performer?
That can be said about most modern day wrestlers. Characters aren't easy to describe in this day and age.

This is definitely the toughest challenge for Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D., but rises and still your AEW Women's World Champion. What an amazing effort by Riho. She and Tay Conti have come so close than anyone else in dethroning the doctor.
Took 3 people, and weapons and non stop inference for Brit Baker to beat Riho for the first time in her career.
I love Riho, she's adorable.

What’s the common bond between Britt Baker and Adam Cole? Both rely on help when they are champions but only one of them can be champion. As long as Britt Baker is champion, Adam Cole will not get his title shots.

So every match is no DQ apart from the MJF match this week? Everything about this match was embarrassing. From the referee getting buried to Riho drop kicking and knocking over Jaime Hayter. Visually this all looks so stupid and makes no sense.

Britt has not been booked as a strong/dominating champion which is a discredit to her. Too many "dirty" finishes and interferences from her team.
It's how a lot of heels do it, and Baker doesn't have an impressive physique or amazing wrestling skills to back up a "dominating" run. Her best skill is on the mic.
