I love that they named the new bar after John. Made me tear up seeing it come into frame. The show is still as brilliant as always, but it needs David Hyde Pierce. It just needs that comedy.
David finally has his own show. Finally.
One of Freddy's fellow firefighters has the nickname Moose, the name of the first dog that played Eddie.
I love that they immediately changed Martin after the first episode as he was a bitter and cantankerous old curmudgeon in that episode. Then they changed him into the glue that kept the family together.
Pierce was epic as Niles, I miss him and Daphne.
Gosh do I ever miss Mr. Mahoney.
Of course you did
Frederick looks so handsome in this reboot. This reboot was so needed in terms of how they are getting on years later. Also i like Nicholas Lyndhurst a lot as an actor.
Martin's role was to deflate the pomposity of Niles & Frasier.
Yes, exactly.
David Hyde Pierce was superb as Niles. Would have been nice to have him as a regular ,but ,oh well.
Besides,he can always do a guest shot.
The first episode of the original series: "The Good Son".
The first episode of the reboot: "The Good Father".
The bar in the reboot is called "Mahoney's".
You missed the tribute to John Mahoney. The name of the bar in the reboot is Mahoneys and has a sign saying it was founded in 1940 which is the year John was born
Wow! That completely flew over my head, and I just finished watching the first 7 episodes of the revival.
Loving the new series so much ❤ Martin tribute was deeply moving 🥲❤️
Yes it was!
What you forgot to mention is that Freddy came out more like Martin, while Niles' and Daphne's son came out more like his father, complete with awkwardness and allergies.
Didnt think it would work but i like what i see
I hope this show does well! I have no doubt that it will be good quality and good taste. But it's so hard these days with so much competition via streaming.
The tribute at the end of episode one was to Gabrielle James, John Mahoney and Archie Lyndhurst. Archie was Nicholas' son and very sadly died three years ago at only 19.
Archie was his only child, he died at home in his sleep has a result of his acute myeloid leukaemia, he had just started his career has an actor.
"To strive, to seek, to find... and not to yield".
RIP Martin. 😢
And Eddie 💔.
Upsets me that not a single clip of Martin was used in this....
1:58 the tribute's not to Nicolas Lyndhurst...that's the actor playing Alan. It's to his son Archie, who tragically died in 2021.
Yak, yak, yak everything BUT the actual clip😢
it would be nice if we didn't have to keep paying for more series when the original was simply just there for all to see
I wanted to watch the clip
NOT LISTEN TO YOU TALK
Exactly. That's the only reason I clicked on this. Turned out to be just clickbait.
Why would the first episode have a tribute to a living person? It was to Nicholas Lyndhurst's deceased son, Archie.
In the thumbnail, I thought Frasier was sat at Maclaren’s pub from HIMYM
Am I the only one who couldn't follow this??
Nope. Very hard to follow.
Enjoying this reboot. Well done.
Glad you enjoy it!
Boy, you can hardly tell this was written by A.I. I mean, it's not god awful, lazy, sloppy, plodding writing and the A.I. voice isn't completely noticeable. It certainly didn't grate on my nerves and annoy the hell out of me.
this video just stretches out and says a lot of nothing and could have been condensed into a few seconds
When John died in real life and Niles said no they should have taken that as hint to not do this 🫣🫣🤢🤢
It's not the same show of course but didn't expect it to be. Good supporting cast and is growing pretty well. Boo to the others for not signing up for guest spots...who needs them.....
It’s definitely not as good as the original, but I think it’s pretty decent, and they’re obviously still finding their feet.
@@andrewbyrne2173 Thank you! I have an issue with the old cast...what possible good reason other than health issues, would keep them from wanting to work with him just to visit like Lilith. Something is wrong. Hollywood all smiles but...
@@christinepizzi6197 The have other acting projects they are in, or want to be in
@@ldown4247 I'm well aware of their other projects. They have had almost 20 years to grow their acting careers after Frasier was over...like their own shows. That didn't happen for any of them, except for......guess who?
Jesus, I can't follow this.
Can you wait a few years until I get my post-doc and explain it again?
I’m a huge Frazier fan ( the original), not the reboot, the casting in the reboot is horrific, his son , and Niles son, that’s who they cast? Really, they’re not funny, and Freddy doesn’t even resemble young Freddy
It's like the producers and writer's forgot the beauty of Cheers and Fraiser wasn't the main character (ie Sam, Diane, or Fraiser in Fraiser) but the supporting cast Norm, Cliff, Coach, Woody, Rebecca, Carla, Martin, Roz, Daphne, Al old guy on the stool in Cheers, Bulldog. They were great took the pressure off of the main characters having to deliver humor. This reboot characters are all replicas of every network typical 1/2 hour comedy....nothing special like they were trying to save money on unfunny no names.
I agree..I watched 2 episodes and it was terrible. I am a BIG fraiser fan too.
Lost me when they tried the Freddy / Dad odd couple dynamic as Fireman against Intellect and a single mom with a baby living across the hall to boot, but wait let's not forget to be politically correct so let's cover all bases and throw in a black woman as a Department chairperson...if they made her gay all boxes will be checked off.
The nephew character needs psychiatric help
So did Niles. That was the point.
NO. Frasier was a beautiful show that already ended perfectly. Whatever this depressing epilogue is... JUST NO.
never gonna watch nu-frasier. just look at those side characters, they belong on a twitch stream not in a sitcom
I thought the same thing…but you’re really missing out. The trailers don’t do the new characters justice -halfway through the season, you’d swear it’s still the old show
😂🤡
Kelsey is at peak Frasier and the show still captures some of the magic. Worth sitting through the side characters and film/laughs
Nicholas Lyndhurst and no David Hyde Pearce............... no thanks, I'm not listening!
Series is a complete waste of time .. none of the characters are interesting or unique - just stock pastiches of characters we've seen a thousad times in every show ever produced ..
mediocre writing .. mediocre acting ..
So come on then, James Burrows. You create a character who has lasted over 30 years and is still loved. Let’s face it, hair lip. You couldn’t write a shopping list, let alone anything else.
No it isn't. You don't like it fine. But don't be a pompous clown dissuading others from giving it a shot.
The supporting cast isn't good at all, no one's funny or even remotely a likeable character that can bring the humor.
