Bug Fables But Teamwork's Basically Dead

- Bug Fables has this stuff called TP. That's not allowed in this challenge. Basically, our damage comes only from basic attacks, but skills as a whole are off limits for us. And to make this challenge just a little more interesting, we aren't allowed to cook recipes. Which may make things just a little harder.
We're going to be doing a Paper Mario challenge next on this channel. TTYD specifically. Y'all voted for Level Zero Scavenge, so I'll be starting on editing it so hope you like it when it's ready!

Fun fact: You technically don't have to cook a hearty breakfast, as Belostoss has a chance to drop one (along with a plethora of other items) when it's defeated.
That is actually fascinating.

I like how in the thumbnail, you used actual sprites for Vi and Kabbu, but just glued a triangle to Leif's hand
Leif never did strike me as someone with much for close quarters combat.
Respect for populating the bug game and doing challenges. What i want to do but i have no time and tools and its just awesome to see

You'd think RUclips would be able to tell what I've been doing for the past year, but guess not. lmao
Some that might’ve helped this challenge is a weird quirk with antlion jaws. Antlion jaws is a separate defense pierce from kabbu’s horn and is calculated independently, so if Kabbu basic attacks an enemy with one defense and has antlion jaws, he’ll do one extra damage. Antlion jaws also lets you do extra damage to flipped enemies since it’s the only defense pierce in the game to pierce one defense without flipping. For some reason, this quirk doesn’t work with heavy strike.

That's because heavy strike isn't a basic attack and antlion jaws only applies to basic attacks.
@@tessaPMpro I’m dumb. Something weird with heavy strike though is that it isn’t affected by exhaust during the aria miniboss, and ONLY the Aria miniboss.
such a neat concept. cause.. in a strange way, there's still not really anything you can't do when you're missing your abilities. aside from taunt and bubble shields, everything abilities could provide can be covered by items you can buy
Ye like Sharing Stash with Succulent Platter or Icefall with Ice Bombs.

Waiting for that Pebble Toss Challenge video and speaking of that I’m gonna guess that False Monarch was a pain because you know high HP.
Haven't even tried False Monarch, but the real problem is how fast it can heal with its Mothflies.
Maybe "no relays" could have been added too to fit the "no teamwork" theme.
Meh. Maybe. After doing solo challenges, I'll take the tool if I can anyways.

Unless his name is actually Monster Scarlet and I'm misremembering.
French is a confusing dialect. I just think "Mons" as in Pokémon and then... well "your".

I know I am multiple months behind when it comes to watching this video and commenting. But I gotta say, I wasn't expecting that sudden game over with the bed bug caught me off guard. I didn't know there were times that you could receive a game over like that. Is there any other area or situation (to your knowledge) where using the bed bug can cause a game over?
Oh that wasn't an actual game over. That was just a joke I edited in.

2:03 I didnt even know there was a cutscene if you didn't have an item at this part of the playthrough.
Mainly because there's like 20 separate items you can get in chapter 1 and its the easiest chapter in the game.
I also didn't know that you can fight Riz before chapter 6. I thought you just always got turned around, but a quick look at the wiki reveals that you can actually fight him after Maki leaves your party.
It's really funny how many little things exist in this game
