-Local taxes should be the highest. The budget for local services is voted on each year & will be kept in check by the people actually paying for it.
-State taxes should generally be the 2nd highest. Let the states compete for your business with whatever tax policies & services provide the most bang for your buck.
-Federal taxes should be the lowest, reserved for corporations, kept universal for all companies & be extremely simple. Example: 5% Flat Tax on gross revenue.

Instead of collecting Taxes and letting the Government decide where to spend it, People should have a ballot that describes a list of all things they can allocate their taxes to.
So while paying taxes, People can then checkmark the boxes on a ballot where they would like that Money to be spent.
This way, we all get to decide collectively where all our Money goes, and whatever options on the Ballot gets the highest votes, that thing gets most funding, and the second highest vote gets the second most funding, and so on.

You also seem to be assuming that, in the absence of coercion, that defense, arbitration, and infrastructure simply disappear. That's pretty silly. Not only did those things exist before government, again, if people perceive those things as needs (as they do food, for example) they will voluntarily pay for them (as they do food, etc).

Look I'd have to do a lot more research on tax codes, but as a gen z I can indeed confirm that many people would actually like to pay higher taxes which is crazy to me, like I think about paying taxes as an investment in the U.S. government and ultimately in our economic development and overall efficiency and I just understand why no one, especially in the Democratic party asks " Hey what is the government doing with all the money I'm giving them already? And if the utilities, education and overall efficiency is not getting better, why would I want to pay them even more to waste?"
For a party that claims to care about the average person, they just don't know how to make solid improvements to America even when they have the power to. And then they have the audacity to blame the average American for not voting for their party again..smh. And look I'm not saying Republicans are perfect either, the reality is this should be a much more widely discussed topic, especially considering the authority the IRS have and in my opinion an outdated incentive structure which we are still using which isn't helping us in the 21st century.

You mean toll roads? Those already exist and are generally considered much higher quality roads than government roads. It's likely they're actually cheaper too given government waste i.e. how much in taxes do you pay for roads vs what would it cost you to travel on toll roads, and you only pay on toll roads for the road you use whereas with taxes you pay for every road, even those you don't use. It's hard to say since government isn't exactly keen on showing us their books or, you know, are honest about much of anything.
Toll roads are only one possibility. Absent government coercion, another possibility are roads can be treated like a cell phone plan, with overlapping providers, etc. There are any number of other ways to voluntarily fund a flat place for cars to drive on. Libertarianism and their ideas on taxation sounds great and I wish I didn’t have to pay any taxes on my paycheck. The reality is however if we have a flat rate tax or none at all the rich will continue to amass more and more wealth. In a society that depends on consumers having disposable income to generate economic activity, the concentration of wealth can not happen. The rich are already enjoying the tax system that we do have and making taxes a flat rate or go away altogether is their ultimately victory. I know it sounds like crazy communist talk but in a capitalist society the money still has to revolve and one way to do that is to tax people who have more of it.
