    FT3 has been my daily driver since it was released. Really a great headphone and a great value that deserves more attention. Thanks for the review.

    This headphone is fantastic, and it’s really good for eqing, the treble isn’t peaky.

    I have both 3 and 5, and everything you say is on point . Even if I also own LCD3 and Arya Organic as my fav hps, this guys are also special , and also I wish to add that the sound of this headphones , from a FiiO M17 , is crazy good. For ,,portable" , either one of this two and my M17 , is the perfect solution , for me . Not talking going in a public transport, for that I always take my AirPods Max. Very good video !

      nice how similar does the ft5 sound to lcd3?

    • @diana73654
      @diana73654 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@ryanhostudio they are both relaxed, with lcd3 being almost at the extreme. I find lcd3 extremely good, dark and still detailed with a very heavy bass and great mids, if is paired with a bright/transparent and powerful source ( I am using a Matrix Element X2, sometimes but not necessarily paired with Burson Soloist 3x GT , and raise the volume a little bit more (raising the volume does not bring any harshness, but more dynamics). Everything is thicker on lcd 3. With FT5 I get the dynamics earlier, not having to crank up the volume so much. I would put FT5 closer to lcdx than to lcd3, regarding sound signature. Also FT3/5 are a lot lighter than Audeze. I think the problem with FiiO hps and especially with FT3, is the size of the pads. I have placed some bigger leather perforated pads and the stage becomes alot bigger. I would also recommend NOT using the balanced connections for hp output, and maybe you can make a video in the future, about this. Going balanced, on headphones output, for me, is bringing a little detail but is destroying the sound in general, especially the richness of the bass and mids . That being said, I think FiiO headphones deliver a huge value, as products, on a market where almost everything is overpriced. 🙂

      @@diana73654 The Ft3 is great and a absolute bargain. Tha Cable is a 3m moncrystalline Furukawa Cable with changeable Connectors, it is worth easy 100Bucks (LL-RC) (normally a Cable in such a Quality, Length and with interchangeable Connecters would cost much more), then you have the Transportcase ( i think i t is real Leather) with the Adapters is also worth a bit of money, but the Hp itself without all this Things still worth the money the hole Package cost. But i hear the same like you if it is connected to the balanced Output, so i always go single ended (but with te Diablo2 it is perhaps no problem because it has not a real symmetrical/balanced Design (it is only the Output taken from the Single endend, so this is one of the lies of ifi, the other one was the 5W Output, so the Diablo is not worth the money and Ryan should make proper Research and a honest Review...) I also think that the Fiio`s Price perfomance Ratio is stunning

    Btw the 350ohm and 32ohm are completely different drivers. The 350ohm is definitely the better headphone, while the 32ohm is more v shaped. I think they should have priced them at least $50 apart so it’s not so confusing to people that didn’t research…or name it something else.

      i saw measurements of 32 ohm variant it looks like it’s tuned differently to because of the drivers but haven’t had chance to try it yet

    Berillium plated only. The expensive Focals have pure berillium drivers. Big difference. According to your videos Fiio are making knockout products one after another. This could be true or you're biased towards them. You seem a nice guy so I'll go with the former....for now. 😉

    How does it compare to one of the widest with best Imaging? is it better than his bigger brother the FT5? For example a price competitor would be the r70x

    • @ryanhostudio
      @ryanhostudio  7 месяцев назад +1

      if you watch my ft5 review you would know how i feel about it for competitive gaming lol. I have tried the R70x its tuning is not bad, but you aren’t getting much bass or subbass and its build is terrible compared to ft3. Accessories wise your also losing big time. Detail wise it doesn’t match but if i had to guess it’s imaging its pretty decent

      @Hijynx87 7 месяцев назад

      I think it’s much better than the Maxwell. However the maxwell doesn’t require an amp and it’s wireless….and closed back. Get both? lol. The ft3 is definitely more engaging to listen to, at least with suede pads. For gaming the pleather pads might be better slightly, but it sacrifices the bass for stage.

      The ft3 will run on an m11. I use it on my btr7 with plenty of headroom. Also the shanling m3 ultra/m3x. It’s 350ohm, but the sensitivity isn’t very low so it’s easy to drive.

      @@ryanhostudio yep, also there is an option to boost the 4.4. I think it ends up being like 380mw? Somewhere around there. It’s good enough for my 990 pros 250ohm in 3.5, edition xs, ft3 and all of my iems all with a good amount of headroom.
