Great job with this review...appreciate your opinion and advice...😊
What a nicely done cinematic review. Excellent work! Thank you
Well it’s about time someone reviewed these
As a Fiio fan, this makes me happy.
I want to try these so dang bad
Hi, great video, do you think a HiBy r5 with fiio ka7 would be enough to power them or is a desktop amp required?
When u gonna do the pr2 !!!!!! You know we all waiting!!!!❤❤❤
Can you compare to the Audeze MM-100 WHEN available?
Could the topping dx3 pro+ power these with no problem?
HEY MAN CAN YOU REVIEW THE JUZEAR 41T??? I HEARD THEY ARE ALMOST AS GOOD AS AFUL PERFORMER 5
Como funcionan con el fijo m11s?
The only thing stopping me from getting one of these right now are the power requirements.
Driving stuff from a smartphone is very important to me.
I have an LG v60 which has the quad dac, I'm sure this can run the FT3 no problem.
Can you rewiew kiwi ears quatet
I heard they are pretty awesome
First thing I’d push back on is that these are not sensitive headphones. They do require some power .
The next thing is that I consider the FT3 to be more of a semi open headphone. The sound coming from the rear of the drivers is greatly reduced when compared to a true open back.
IMHO, they are better than the 600 Series. The Sennheisers have the better midrange and are better for vocals but that’s about it. For overall presentation, the FT3 is better. Better soundstage and better bass. They’re a better all-around value.
Wait, they have better Soundstage the the 600 series? Even though you said this Ft3 isn't fully open?
@@YuhNinja They absolutely have better soundstage than the 600 Series. Being open back doesn’t always mean better soundstage. In this case you have to consider driver size. We’re talking 38mm vs. 60mm. That’s a huge increase!
@@arthurhaywood2184 Sorry to bother you but what would you say has the highest sound stage (outside of the hd800s) or whatever that $1200 Sennheiser is called.
Soooo…a step up from my Sen’s 650’s 🤔..oh, wait you answered that 🤣
Great video …goes to a question tho …
Are the Sen’s 600 line of headphones so ubiquitous that they are the default standard for all others to meet??🤨
TL;DR - your HD650 are and always will be gold.
600 series have been a benchmark since 1994 when the HD580 (essentially a HD600) was introduced. Even before then Sennheiser was well regarded. Sennheiser spent a lot of money in acoustic research at their facilities and the 600 series was a headphone that is still regarded as getting close to a natural tonality. Driver technology hasn't dramatically changed. My HD660S I place a bit below or on par with the quality of the HD800 driver, and both a notch down from something like a Utopia. But, tonality is where it is at. As long as a driver isn't massively deficient, getting the right tonality goes a long way to convincing your brain that you are hearing something lifelike. The mid-to-treble range is most important. Bass is a bit more subjective but the boost here on the Fiio will be welcome to approximating the tactile response one gets when listening to more bass heavy music but it also won't interfere much for more instrumental music, where these bass ranges are less prominent.
@@malfunkt Thanks for the feedback.
Food for thought.
I tried the Meze Emps…and they were an all around better product than my Sen’s 650’s …but where they 8x better ( given the prices up here in Toronto) …that’s a coin toss.
This is very unexpected surprise but a welcome one
Vs sundara?
💕👍
Great review. Quick question though. I can't handle much treble. How are these in the treble brightness?
Are these neutral and accurate enough to be used for studio production with the leather pads?
Wait..what …headphones 🤔
first!
Second!
So, they're another mediocre mid-fi cans and I already have too many of those. Pass!
I never soldering a driver in a headphones, i never produce music, i never master audio tracks, i never made acoustic panel, i never made my own headphones or analogue cable, BUT BUT BUT, i have RUclips and I can talk.
