Hi, i have an old large hanging Reznor xa-250 propane. It has 2 large fans for blowing the heat and an inducer above them. The heater will kick on and blow heat as it should, but the inducer seems to run for a long time before the main fans kick on. Like it will run fow 4-5 minutes before the the main fans kick on.
I have a Sterling 45,000 btu garage heater. I used single wall stainless steel through a metal thimble(one part on the outside connected to the other part on the inside). This goes through the wall for horizontal exhaust. 1/4" per foot down to the outside per instructions. Heat caulk to seal. Length is around 5' for back pressure, again per instructions. Please your comment will be appreciated. Thanks
My pilot will ignite for just a moment and then goes out. I have a Honeywell Dayton older model. I believe I found the replacement igniter assembly online but it's marked NG for natural gas. I have LP. Can I still use this part?
What venting do I need for venting for sterling ggo60 Cat 3 or double wall Great video ! Have a 24x30 pole barn only have 1and half insulation and 5 eights usb building tight building would you do a 60000 btu or 45000 btu live in ohio Thanks again
installing cat 3 pipe and cat 3 thimble through pole barn wall osb inside then Dow Syrofoam board then metal pole barn siding Question 4 inch thimble how far from outside of thimble to combustibles 2 inches
sterling gg60 propane hanging heater ( new ) makes a quick whoop sound after you hear the click when it fires up . pressure at outside regulator is 12 propane company checked that , Goes to black 1/2 inch black pipe to corrugated yellow flex pipe 5/8 outer diameter 1/2 inner with safety end ! why the quick whoop sound ? its not a whistle sound just a quick whoop works fine after that If you have advice that would be great . Would manifold pressure make it do that don't have gauge for that I think 10W>C> for propane
I have an old modine G75A and i cant find any info on it as it is very old, got it out of a mechanics garage who wasa going out of business, all looks very clean and the fan works very well. I just need to know how or get my hands on some info as to how it gets wired to a thermostat and maybe the wiring in total. I cant find a schematic or anything for it. Thanks in advance
Hi i have a new modine hot dawg 75000 btu it has 3” flue outlet had an old heater i removed i have a 4” existing vertical vent pipe out roof about 6 ft in length can i go from 3” to 4” and u existing vent thanx for any help
Installing a unit heater in my garage this weekend. I see a note about a 11” to 13” water column needed between heater and regulator. Is this the same thing as a drip leg for moisture in the in coming gas line?
Once you're outside, you don't have to use double wall Unless it's an area where it can be easily touched Yes, you have to go above the roof so that the exhaust doesn't go in the soffit. Or gable
I have a reznor garage gas heater. It works sometimes others it doesnt. Like ill try to turn up the thermostat and nothing then play with it back and forth for a bit then it will kick on. Is it likely the thermostat thats the issue. Cause when it works the heater blows nice hot air.
Could be the thermostat but I really need to know more information to actually help you with this problem so if you want to join my RUclips channel you can get access to my email and if you become a level 4 member we can get on a phone call and I can actually walk you through it Let me know here's the link Join this channel to get access to perks: ruclips.net/channel/UCuMyjTVlkM4xZ5z_eSyoB1wjoin Wanna Learn more about hvac? Nice video, thanks. Any chance you would consider showing us how to install a Modine HDS (separate combustion model) with the horizontal concentric vent kit?
Awesome. I just bought a Modine 45HDS (Separate Combustion) with the Modine horizontal concentric vent kit. Kinda figured it out but don’t want to make any mistakes, cause I have to go through corrugated metal on the inside of the shop and stucco on the outside. :)@@TaddyDigest
I have a hanging heater and the city came and said it was the regulator leaking. There was a strong gas smell. Does yhere need to be a regulator behind the gas valve
Is this a residential or commercial building Is this your home Is it propane or natural gas Regulators can leak the diaphragm can leak and you need a new regulator if that's the case If it's propane it has to have a regulator
gas company will usually set a meter with a regulator that goes from pounds to ounces outside the building ground level you only need a regulator behind a gas valve when a gas pressure to the building is more that the gas valve requires which should be 3.5 in wc which is less than 1 psi gas company sizes there meter for cubic feet per/hr and they are usually 40 psi in to regulator and less than inches of wc out to the building but if its 2 psi or more you may need a regulator before your furnace or heater I would check with the gas company to find out the pressure that is coming into the building I would be interested to know hope this makes sense here is a video that may help you let me know ruclips.net/video/w6AjBw3loHg/видео.html
I installed a hanger heater in my garage. The single wall pipe off the back gets very hot but the B pipe seems to be ok and not as hot as the single wall pipe. That is normal?
Thanks man! great info, very clear info on double wall vs single wall and when to, and when not to, use. Appreciate the clarity/
Glad it was helpful! Thank YOU for watching my friend. Have a Blessed Day

It's probably just the burner's lighting
Definitely get a gauge and check pressure.
Great video..thank you
Glad you enjoyed it

Same as water heater we get calls all the time to replace the thermocouple it's easy 💰😁
yess Experience pays my friend
Thanx
No problem
why do you have to use double wall outside of the building..??does a propane heater exhaust need to go above a peak in the roof

Regulators can leak the diaphragm can leak and you need a new regulator if that's the case
If it's propane it has to have a regulator
Nat gas, garage/back of building, commercial

I would check with the gas company to find out the pressure that is coming into the building
I would be interested to know
hope this makes sense
here is a video that may help you let me know

Ok ill check and let you know. I appreciate the concern and response
your welcome Phillip
what if the pilot flame stays lit but the main flames wont come on?
could be bad gas valve
Mine just started doing this. Is this usually the gas valve?
I used b pipe. Double wall and it still gets hot.
Make sure you check the gas pressure
I installed a hanger heater in my garage. The single wall pipe off the back gets very hot but the B pipe seems to be ok and not as hot as the single wall pipe. That is normal?
How about flames come on for 3-5 minutes then go out?
could be tripping limit switch
bad or dirty flame sensor
