- PACKOUT COMPACT DEBRIS SEPARATOR
PRICE: $99.99
LAUNCH DATE: OCTOBER 2024
PACKOUT Compact Debris Separator is an accessory that requires use with a
wet/dry vacuum. When paired together, the Debris Separator provides LESS FILTER CLOGS, CONSISTENT SUCTION, and TOTAL MOBILITY. This Dust
Separator is compatible with all common wet/dry vacuum brands with 1-1/4", 1-7/8", and 2-1/2" hose diameters and can hold up to 2.5 gallons of debris. By capturing and separating 99% of common jobsite debris before
it reaches the vacuum, there is less downtime spent cleaning and changing filters,

I’m buying one. Well hopefully the Suction drop off isn’t crazy like the Festool Variant
GREAT question at the end, Rob! Two reasons I think of straight away:
1. Because it’s part of their system, they are selling you a vacuum and an expensive extractor accessory instead of just a fancy vacuum.
2. Vacuum bags and filters are high margin items that make these companies a lot of profits and designing a vacuum that does not need a filter will limit their ability to cash in after the sale.
I foresee a separator-equipped vacuum with a tiny post-separator debris storage and a filter designed to more efficiently filter tiny dust particles vs the current filters designed for heavy loading.
So it’s both Packout compatible but can also hook on top of the current 6/9 gallon single/battery head vacuums using those straps they have. That’s good since Milwaukee should’ve made those vacuums come with Packout tops when they were first introduced. I run the dual battery vacuum on low for extra runtime and it’s usually more than powerful enough. Would’ve liked a choice to use a plug in cord for some jobs, like sanding for a long time, where I’ll still other vacs, like a Festool midi. But this new collector appears to be easier and more compact than running hoses through something like the Home Depot dust topper or Oneida dust deputy.
Agreed - im a big fan of AC/DC for vacuums, an lighting
Just an FYI, Milwaukee does produce an A/C motor head for their vacs. They just don’t hype it up at all. It’s a 6.5hp motor that got 148cfm, if I remember right. I have that and the single battery m18 motor head too. I have different use cases for both. You can use the different motor head on the same canisters and they did make it easy to swap out. But, I do wish they had released a dual power motor head like the soon to be released dust extractor. I foresee in the future an updated vac head that is dual powered and has packout cleats.
@@pecanwallye9191dust extractor?
@@danlux4954To my knowledge, it's set to be released in the 1st quarter 2025. It was at the pipeline this year. I'm sure you could look up videos of it.
@@pecanwallye9191 thanks. Is it the M18 FUEL™ PACKOUT™ 9 Gallon Dual-Battery Dust Extractor?
Looks like I'll be picking up a vacuum upgrade...
I've wondered for a long time why vacuums don't have separators built in
Then they won’t sell bags.
i could see this as a great addition for use with sander and domino on sight . not so sure it will handle mice nest and hunks of insulation that i presently use my packout vac for
Is there a filter that fits in the separator?
@@danlux4954 nope
@ I found a video, those clips is to clear blockages. Thanks.
So what’s the point of having the vacuum? The suction?
@@rajivhs3262 yes and the super fine dust. The separator will not work without the vac suction
I see that Milwaukee has a caster kit for this debris separator, but I only see photos with the separator on top of another vacuum. Can I put casters on the separator, and then put the Packout vacuum on top of the separator so they both roll around as one unit?
Milwaukee dolly?
Yes.
Holy crap it looks like he lost 90% sucction power...
And if it's thst good on dust, why not show it with dust.
at pipeline did lil milly give you guys NEW Sales goals? or are they the same as last year? i know salesmen get new goals sometimes ... smFh
Funny Mos. We did the same coverage to Hilti in October.

Another idea stolen from the community
Adam, I havnt seen this on a jobsite - just work shops. Who else is doing this?
@@ConcordCarpenterI was doing a big hardwood floor install with a lot of custom milling, including ripping and routing. I rigged up 2 dust separators for that job on site.
@@ConcordCarpenter Plenty of folk in the Packout Mod community. If you look at the other accessories they are releasing they have also been blatantly copied from the community without giving credit.
FYI Packout is made in Isreal by KETER more than likely on occupied territory. I don't think it's a good idea to support a company that has it's stuff made in a country that has been accused of genocide.
