Thanks! I had to replace my drivers side mirror, and it was pretty simple, just a few more wires to deal with. Bought one online for $75.00, it took me about 45 minutes, and I saved $450!! Works fine.
Don’t know if you already replaced, but there is a $30 kit to repair the membrane on the larger speakers. The paper cone and electronic parts should be fine, but the membrane around it rots over time, especially if the car has been in damp areas on and off. Pretty easy repair, and then the speakers will be shockingly great! RUclips has tutorials to show the speaker repair, also. Think you can get a lot of $ on eBay for the used Mark Levinson ones, working or not.
Now that I see how my GX’s door is held together, I can deff see why that shit vibrates like a 99 Grand Am GT whenever I turn up the bass. Thanks for the vid! Now me tearing into that shit won’t literally be me *tearing* that shit. Ahaha
Do you know what the specs are for each speaker? I have a 2003 gx470 and I'm looking into replacing all my speakers. I just dknt know what the sizes are and where to look. Any info would info would help. Thanks and awesome job!
Do you have the ML system? If so you need 8 ohm speakers, if you have the base sound system 4 ohm speakers bottom is a 6x9 bass driver, 3 1/2" mid drivers, rear speakers 6 1/2" Crutchfield is your friend
Yeah. Sometimes with the age of these things, it happens, or they’re stuck in the door and you can remove them and put back on the panel for re-install. . Should be under Lexus part number 90467-A0005 or 90467-09203 should you need replacements.
