POV Fishing TX
Добавлен 1 авг 2013
Sharing my time out on the water searching for new places to explore and fish to catch mainly from my technical poling skiff. I primarily focus on using artificial lures both on conventional tackle and fly fishing.
Post Front: Stalking Redfish
Fishing after the second strong northern that came in 2024. The high water finally started to get blown out to MLLW predicted but this week a little East was thrown in and we were about 0.5-0.7ft above the predicted tide level. Was a mixed cloudy day but we made it happen. Success was found when we started seeing tails and the reds showed us some flashes.

You can get decent NEW LCA's pretty cheap and they include a new ball joint.
Thanks. We also wanted to upgrade the bushing and stick with the OEM part.
I could not have made the replacement without your video. Thank You!
That’s a cool marsh system. If I see you out there I’ll wave you down. Awesome video
Yeah man give me a 👋🏽. Love exploring that area and finding something new.
Finally a video for us GX owners with Non Nav! Thank you.
Non-nav>nav 😀
goddam lose the music, can't hear your voice.
Yeah it’s come up a few times. Will need to edit and re post. Thanks for the feedback!
So what unit did you install?
It was a Joying unit, but I changed it to a Boss 10".
Your background music makes my tinnitus ramp up. Silence is golden.
Sorry about that :(
It worked great
Hi do you need an aftermarket camber bolts for the white line bushings or stock is fine?
stock was fine.
I know this is old but what about the rear doors ? I can’t get them off
I've moved on to a different platform but I'll see if I have a video I made and post it!
I get wanting to remove all the coolant but the better way is to just do several drain and fills via the radiator. Less chance of leaks and Toyotas preferred method.
I see your point. But if you have a previous owner that put the wrong coolant I’d want to do a block drain and get as much out. Thanks for watching!
love staring at the back of your head...........better camera angle would be way better........just saying but good info on the removal
Sorry about that! Glad it had some substance to help out though!
Hard to tell but are these bolts easily accessible to loosen and tighten from the underside like that or do they need to be accessed elsewhere?
you can go on the sides behind the tire and above the frame rail. you'll have to remove the splash shields.
Thanks for posting this just replace my rear wiper on my 05. Wipers are usually the hardest for me, but this was breeze thanks to you kind person
Glad it helped!!
Thank you so much amigo great video
You’re welcome!
Why music?
I regret putting it there :(
Don’t follow this, caused me to break my plastic cover.
Sorry to hear that Bob, just did it on my GX and was 1 min job smooth as butter nothing close to breaking
Might’ve been a bit fragile. Sorry that happened bud
That plastic piece is what I was wondering about, I didn’t want to break mine
Looks like he broke some clips
Yeah. Sometimes with the age of these things, it happens, or they’re stuck in the door and you can remove them and put back on the panel for re-install. . Should be under Lexus part number 90467-A0005 or 90467-09203 should you need replacements.
Why did you have to cut the first bushing?
It was misaligned/damaged and didn’t line up with the bore of the sleeve. I had to cut it odd in order to push the bushing through the other side.
Great job with this video just the info you need no BS
This works but I'm adding a word of caution here! I'm removing the bushings from a second gen XTerra (the configuration is much the same as the Toyota) and I wound up spreading the bushing sleeves about a half inch farther apart... (fuuuuuuck!!! I never thought I'd be able to distort the actual LCA) so now I'm ordering a replacement. I'd advocate for a little pressure and more heat... 3 of the 4 popped out no problem, but the last one got me. Be careful out there!
How the whiteline bushings holding up?
I’ve since sold it, but they worked great over the 20-30,000 miles I had it after the install. No noises and very solid.
That’s great bro, but what about install?
can you clear stock UCA's with these exact wheel specs? looking to put 17x8.5 +0 method wheels on mine with 33's. want to make sure i can clear stock UCA's before doing so. Thanks!
thank you for posting. very helpful. my 4runners pretty old so dont want to spend an arm and leg for mechanic to do this.
Descuadras ,la tijera
Porque?
I open these with a cool engine, let it all drip out. Then refill the radiot and reservoir?
Freeze the bushings
Do also need to heat the control arm?
How do you remove the black duct on the left side? I can't seem to get that off and I'm afraid I may break it if I was to use force.
I've spent days trying to figure out what those barbs were called and whether or not they fed back into the cooling system, apparently not, thanks for the video!
Recomend ruclips.net/video/u1fo7A2o4hc/видео.html
So basically heat it up before
Thanks! I had to replace my drivers side mirror, and it was pretty simple, just a few more wires to deal with. Bought one online for $75.00, it took me about 45 minutes, and I saved $450!! Works fine.
Where did you buy the replacement?
Unwatchable.
So helpful, thank you! I couldn't find these and I have the repair & maintenance manual.
Nice job!
Excellent 🤟
Thanks for posting this!
Can you post the links for the harness needed for the aftermarket radio? I would really appreciate it.
this particular one came with everything. I ended up changing it to a Boss 10" from Crutchfield.com they supplied all the harnesses needed with the headunit.
Is the inner cv boot torn?
Very good job done.
Gd
What do you say at the very end about accessing the bolt? The music drowns your voice out... thanks for the video...
What wiring harness adapter did you use?
The front oem cam adjuster is smaller than the Whiteline sleeve, any issues with the loose fit?
I’m dying to see a review. More information! I have a Navi gx and looking for solutions
the joying unit died after a few months and there was no customer service. I went with a Boss 10" unit which worked great for the price.
Use a drill and a question mark or fish hook shaped bar in the drill to move your jack in or out. Up and down. Works fast under a vehicle to lift it also.
Great advice
Do you have a patient of the Saint! That is quite bit of work.
What are all the parts you used? Thanks
Did you need a special wiring kit or the steering wheel control adapter?
It came with the headunit as well as the steering wheel control adapter. The unit didn't last very long though and I switched to a boss 10"
