Hi, Altra fanboy here... Got my final Outroads today after trying 2 other sets that were too small. You mentioned taking them half a size larger, I'd suggest even a whole size. I think they must have mixed up the US and British size in the factory given that the UK size is indicated a full size smaller.
For me Torin 4 and Mont Blanc are the only shoes I always run without insoles, they fit better that way, a little bit more roomy cos otherwise they would compress my foot laterally around the base of the 5th metatarsal. Without insoles perfect!
u basically taking away built in overall sole padding is all then. what u are after is the side effect almost.

I just bought the outroad and used a shoe stretcher to widen it up a bit even though I went up a half size. I find the midsole to actually be a bit softer than my Torins and the tongue is so much softer than my Torins. I also noticed that the outroad has a better toe rocker and feels a bit less like a zero drop shoe. I am really hoping the next Torin model has a higher stack, is this confirmed yet?

Do you think slim fit footshape shoes you need to go half size up automatically or is the Outroad the only one? How about Tempo for example?
I only have the size issue with the Rivera and Outroad. I did get the Tempo is half a size larger, but I think that wasn't necessary. I'd get them in my regular size. I have the Carbon in my regular size and am also happy. But I have read others also getting the Vanish 0.5 a size larger, but I personally don't think so.
where is or mid? thought u saids it's coming.
I'm afraid I only saw it be used as a prototype in 2021. I haven't seen any news since 😔

Strange that u consider outroad more plush than torin
Do you disagree? I feel the padding on the Outroad to be way thicker than on the Torin. It's very Plush, but not evenly distributed as the Outroad. Maybe my feel is incorrect here 😅

@@TDMiller it isn't even. it's intentional i've theorized it in my review(not youtube)
