Telescope Tips- Episode 22. How to Clean the Primary Mirror of a 20 Inch Dobsonian Telescope.

In this episode of Telescope Tips, we discuss some simple techniques for cleaning the primary mirror of a dobsonian telescope. Dust particles can act like 'sand paper' and scratch the mirror if you're attempting to 'rub' the dust off. Instead, Ric shows you how to properly 'float off' the dust, then use distilled water and alcohol to properly rinse the mirror.
(special thanks to the gentleman in the background who decided to mow his lawn while we were shooting. Oh well!).

I was unaware of that; I believed that all mirrors had protective coatings.
My dobson mirror does have a protective coating.
