- My name is Ewan Cunningham, I'm 19 years old and I'm a self taught musician. I started playing drums at the age of 4 and and continued to only play drums until I started branching out into other instruments such as guitar, bass, keyboards and vocals. I've been teaching myself to mix, record and film music since I was 10 years old and this is my passion.
This is a one man band cover of "Arnold Layne" by Pink Floyd, their debut single from 1967.
This one was really fun to make! As always, I tried to capture the feel and sound of the original record even if that meant exporting it in mono. I also gave the video a sort of 60's film look to make it a little bit more authentic ;) Hope you enjoy this cover!

Wow... Been a floydie for over 40 years. First album i bought was RELICS and this was on it. Just bought Nick Mason's new "saucer" album and its on that as well. Great cover and some very original sounds. SEE EMILY PLAY next, or maybe PAINTBOX? Sid was a legend.

i think you mean British beat which is the genre that covers most of those 63-66 British pop bands.
Yes Syd certainly had that as part of the foundation of his writing style.
This isn't coincidence considering during the recording of Sgt. Peppers the band members of Pink Floyd were actually recording right next door to Abbey Road studios, and probably pieces for Piper. Say that five times fast.
