- My shed was a mess so I decided it was time to build some storage boxes. I took the idea for these boxes from the modular euro stacking boxes which are made from plastic and can stack on top of each other.
I made three different sizes of box with the following external dimensions: 600x400x400mm, 600x400x300mm and 400x300x300mm. Two of the 4x3 boxes can stack on top of one of the 6x4 boxes. In order to stop dust etc. getting into the top boxes I made some simple lids for them.
The sides of the boxes are 9mm plywood, the bases are 18mm plywood, and the nailing battens/corner supports are approx. 20x20mm.

Thanks for sharing your ideas and techniques! Seeing you go from plywood sheets to implemented stacking boxes crystalizes my own thoughts about what I'd like to build.
Hi Bob, thanks for your comment. I'd glad you found the video useful. All the best with your project.
Boxilla! 😄
Nice design to use the battens to support both the bottom and the top.
Thanks Mike!
i love them. i think for your ease for not needing to lift them you could also make some with drawers, but i know that would take up more space and be heavier. i just love plywood storage. it looks beautiful
Thank you!
Smaller boxes?
They stack.
Wow! Nice work
Thanks Michaela!

Is that a Paulk workbench in the Grampians?
It certainly is. Ron's influence has reached the Highlands!
