terribly sorry for not responding, youtube never told me i had comments!!! mine was base model and i swapped allll of the guts of my pass door and got a new drivers door which had the bose setup, need to build some covers for the holes in the doors but minor details. i just followed the instructions in the description of another channel(in description), i just posted this mostly for the bypass. which you hear about... but no one really shows it. my first attempted it wasnt happy. had to walk away for like 15-30 min, attempted again and got a 2nd reading, tried it and worked great
side note. they recommend not doing the bypass so a, someone cant screw driver your ignition over, i agree, but 2ndly, they were very adamant about getting a bypass module, which is another like 60-90$ (which requires some crazy program) all so you cant accidentally turn the engine over while its already running, nice part about these LS engines, the computer already doesn't allow you. if you are quick or if its a cold morning, turn your key to start and let go, it will crank until it starts,, learned that one day. I recently got into my truck and did the typical bonehead move, key in and full turn but it was already running and didnt do anything. its a wonderful feature of these LS motors since they are so computer controlled.
@@HeavyHERO93 I have an 06 2500 Silverado, the person I bought it from lost the key (I got it for cheap), I’m trying to start it manually with the wires but before I try jumping the power to the starter wire I watched this video. How would I go about getting the correct ohms without the key? Maybe just a forum online? Or is there a way to do it with a multimeter
My problem is sometimes it will crank and run it might run for a day or 2 then you go out to crank it and will not start turn over all day long but want start.you might go back in an hour or 2 and crank right up I've over 2000 just in problem solving on this truck fuel system new , distributor is new wires and plugs r new some of the wiring has been done. All fuses and sensors r new other than the knock sensors I'm out of options for my means of solving these issues. I just can't figure out what my truck is doing. Any information or advice would be greatly 👍. If I can't solve this issue I'm going to put a new harness in it.
Mine will work fine for days and days but once in a while, on a hot day, the truck will fire up, and after a second or 2 shut down, then i had to restart it. i believe my resistor is right on the edge of the window for OHMS its looking for and on a hot day it changes resistance just enough to trip it, but then it works just fine with the key.
Are you adding aftermarket power windows and locks? Your door panels are the upgraded power ones ... I'm assuming your truck was base without any power stuff
Forums online day you can use the exact same resistance as your personal truck. No learning process needed. Otherwise, you can choose any resistance you want, some 50 ohms, or 4k ohms, it doesn't matter. But if you use a random resistor, you'll need to do the relearn procedure one last time.
They’re coming from the top of the ignition switch...as long as you have eyes then the video made that incredibly clear. If you’re attempting to fix this and yet you watched this and have no idea still, well then you should call local mechanic lol 🤷♂️
Lifesaver. I got stranded at work just now and thank good I had a quick splice and some pliers in the glovebox I can go home and have my lunch 😂❤
Thank you bro 😎
I did that and it worked
I used a 4.5k ohm resistor
Fires right up
youtube never told me i had comments..... WTF.... so My Sincerest Apologies to everyone who sees this way to long after...
Hello bro it does work on 07 tahoe 4.8 with inmobilizer key transporter
My Silverado 2003 stopped running. Will 5 ohm resistor work to bypass the security system? What issues did you have with wrong resistor?
is this for keys or keyless entry
Do you have a diagram for the remote start on the truck side?
Dose it requires the resistor? Will it work if you just tap the wire to the black one?
Did it work?
Can you show a video of your full alarm and remote start install? Your helping me so much

Where can you get the 4.7 ohm register? My 2003 Silverado won't run. Thanks tried lots.

The key info is the resistor value
Does all the gauges work an does it ever trip the system?
Can i buy one with out the passlock
What issues happened when using wrong (PCM or BCM problems) resistor?

Tengo silverado 03 le doy ala llave para prender secorta corriente da como prender nada
What about 299 tags dvenger
Very helpful thanks 😊.
Please could you tell me the resistance value?
they are alll different

How about unbypassing?
So how do measure the ohms? Just take reading between yellow and black while in on position?
Be sure to turn the power of when checking resistance values. Dunt wanna let the magic smoke out the box. Can't let it back in
That shit sounds good af
mucho helpful...
Nop
Well that was a waste of time didn’t show anything. A cut yellow wire and a black wire from god knows where.

What watt on the resistor?
