But now we get three months to convince ourselves that our second round picks are, IN FACT, the next coming of Jokic until his inability to tie his own shoes in summer league gets him sent down to the G league and you never hear his name again because he got traded to Rochester.
(Spurs fan here) Sheldon did a fantastic job this year. I know it was difficult to evaluate all of this "interesting talent" but you definitely did a great job. Loved ALL of your videos this season 🙏🏾
Hey Sheldon, I am from the UK and I made the silly mistake of assuming the second round would be at the same time of day for the second round. I stayed up until 1:00 am to watch, and as I went to stick it on it had already finished! I know this one is completely on me, but the nonetheless, I agree with your point at the end. Also, great video as always!
Bona is undersized, but I have seen him in beast mode..the 76er lack physicality and his the right guy and mean enough to make others think twice in the paint.
love that my Sixers had a FANTASTIC 2nd day by drafting Adem Bona (how did he fall that far?!) such incredible motor and defensive upside 👀 getting Justin Edwards (best UDFA and hometown kid) was just the cherry on top 🤌🏻🤌🏻 man this draft is actually quite deep in terms of quality role players!! don't get all the nonsensical hate saying it's a weak draft 😡
Paul Reed has a non-guaranteed team option this coming year, and with this pic will almost guarantee get cut/traded. Danny Ainge of the jazz tried signing him and in the contract said if you don’t make it past the first round the contract is team non-guaranteed.
Danny Ainge thought he could pull one over for on the 76ers, Daryl saw Bball Paul and tanked first round to get out of that contract😂 hopefully they can get something for him in a trade, maybe part of the package for Ingram since they could benefit from back up depth.
Knicks are winners. Getting Kolek and McCullar Jr. in the second round while adding additional future picks. They also were able to add a developmental center.
I understand that there are people who have a problem with the time that the 2nd round aired. The reason it was at 4 pm, is to make sure that it didn't bump up against the presidential debate. Most likely the 2nd round will be at a later time next year.
I think round 2 was held during the middle of the day because the NBA wanted to avoid going against tonight’s presidential debate. The debate was announced after the NBA had already scheduled the draft.
Raptors had a fantastic draft and imo should be mentioned among the winners. Just look at what they did oh and Mogbo will be better than Filipowski long term. Raptors know what they’re doing with these guys
The Kings with the salary dump, only get Jalen McDaniels.....but there must be another move for the Kings here. They get their mid-level exception back and save 6 mil and are 12mil under the 1st apron.
@@edbrewington3you can call it a salary dump and it was but getting their backup PG who is defensive minded which fits the Raps culture, a former Euroleague MVP who they’ll develop into a solid rotation piece and Jamal Shead for a guy who was one of the worst players in basketball last season and not having to give up 31 is a heist. Masai held them hostage on that one.
@@robs6372 There is no doubt Masai took the Kings to the shed, but for what? Davion was behind Monk and then lost his job to Keon Ellis....it made him expendable. Second, I had very high hopes for Sasha, but the fact is that he had a hard time playing fast and uptempo basketball. Sasha had his moments here and there but missed many open shots because the Kings play fast. Also, he's really slow-footed on defense and you will see that immediately. He was a major liability on defense. For the Kings, this was one move to make another and I bet we see Monte acquiring a forward in the next few weeks. They now have close to 15 mil under the 1st apron and an open roster spot.
hey I’m just saying the Raptors got a couple guys they can use here. Mitchell is a good defender and the Raptors are and have always been a defensive minded team so they can sacrifice some defense with Sasha for some shooting ability as it was a dire need. It was his first year in the NBA and the Raps have a great development staff. No doubt the Kings had to shed salary but the Raps took advantage and at the same time got Jamal Shead with the 45th pick who I really loved at Houston, another defensive stalwart who can be a great defender. Not saying it was bad of the Kings to shed salary cause it was necessary just saying from my teams standpoint it was a fantastic trade imo. Works for both sides, Jalen McDaniels was one of the worst players in basketball last year imo, he needed a change of scenery and I wish in the best in Sac Town. I think Sasha fits the Raptors better than he did with Sacramento
nah, just felt rewarding to have two smart GMs draft two players I loved and in spots I think the fit is phenomenal. I'm happy with the result so I'm a winner. Loosen up ahaha

they could be the next puka nacua

Trading the 44th pick for Adrian Griffin is a steal!

Ridiculous they scheduled the draft for when they did! Hope the 2nd round recap helped you catch some of what you missed!
While I'm intrigued with Nuñez on the Spurs and think he could be Spain's version of Topic, I also think that he will be a draft and stash.
well done sheldon! Keep it going for years to come!
Thanks a lot Sheldon. You always make draft time joyful for us.
Great vid! Great job this year with the vids and evaluations, excited for your future here on the channel and your future in the nba!
When’s the 2025 mock draft dropping lol
:) stay tuned

he's 6'10 and 250lbs, which is just about that Drummond size with extra athleticism and motor

Agreed on day 2 of the draft, I was stuck at work while my Spurs were making multiple picks.
Sixers signed Justin Edwards too 🔥
Pat yourself on the back, great work all year long

Yea he tried to poison pill the Sixers and it actually benefitted them
Danny Ainge thought he could pull one over for on the 76ers, Daryl saw Bball Paul and tanked first round to get out of that contract😂 hopefully they can get something for him in a trade, maybe part of the package for Ingram since they could benefit from back up depth.

I like clippers drafting Cam he was projected higher

They didn't make it later because the Presidential debate is today. Which begs the question why make it today at all then?
I think round 2 was held during the middle of the day because the NBA wanted to avoid going against tonight’s presidential debate. The debate was announced after the NBA had already scheduled the draft.
Bro I’m so mad, I love Mitchell and now I gotta have to watch the thunder this year…
I feel like the knicks were 100% winners. Kolek at 34, McCullar at 56 and even Hukporti at 58 - feel like they were all insane steals
Raptors had a fantastic draft and imo should be mentioned among the winners. Just look at what they did oh and Mogbo will be better than Filipowski long term. Raptors know what they’re doing with these guys
Winner is Miami Heat for getting another best player is Pelle Larrson
Olynik more physical why didn't Pistons keep Saddiq Bey ??
raptors came into day 2 absolutely SWINGING

Think the presidential debate was the reason why the draft was in the middle of the day.
I like filpowskis stroke (pause)
The real winners are the Lakers LETS GO BRONNY 😂😂
May sound odd but I'm much happier rooting for Detroit than the putrid Lakers of LeBalco!
Lakers didn't win anything 😂
Raptors
The
Oh shit luka doncic with a yt channel??? Lmao
First🔥
I cannot believe the spurs got furphy and then traded him 🥲
Believe me you won’t be disappointed of Juan Nunez
This man had a whole segment talking about how “smart” he is for his draft evaluation 💀💀
nah, just felt rewarding to have two smart GMs draft two players I loved and in spots I think the fit is phenomenal. I'm happy with the result so I'm a winner. Loosen up ahaha
Second
Totally agree on the Jazz winning. Very happy
