This Empress got what she deserved. The Emperor pushed so hard for heirs that all of the consorts wanted the status so that began plotting to kill the others. Not to say all blame was to the Emperor because each woman made her own choice to do bad. The Emperor knew though deep down Ruyi was the only one completely faithful and devoted to him and he continued to let her down. I do blame the Emperor for everything that was done to Ruyi and all the heartbreaks she endured.
Facts! Ruyi was even trying to get her servants married to escape the palace life. She grew up there so she knew she couldn't leave.

Just want to say that for many of the villains in this show, their last words are always worth listening to, because often times they actually have a deep awareness of the things that happened around them. The empress was right in many ways - she said that the emperor was cold and heartless, and that his wives would surely suffer, this was true. She said that because of him, whoever takes over the empress' seat would not have a better ending than her, that is also true. In the end, with Wei Yanwan, she also said, in a fit of spite, that of all the people in the harem, no one had an ounce of true feelings for him, except for Ruyi, but then even she was driven away from him. It just makes it more satisfying, one villainous person speaking the cold, hard truth to another villainous person. In the end, I think the worse person in the entire show was just the emperor - all his wives suffered because of him, and I don't think he ever truly acknowledged his own faults, he was just proven wrong about Wei Yanwan and Ruyi, but he never really understood how so many things happened because of him, how the endings of so many characters were tragic because of him; in the end I think he was just sad because Ruyi was gone, but nothing more than that.
From the moment he chose Ruyi, her life became a game of obsession for an immature, selfishly heartless boy who would be king. He never loved nor trusted anyone, let alone Ruyi, the only one who truly loved him. (for the life, I don't know why). He was a stone cold, sex depraved narcissus who cared little for human decency or the feeling of anyone but himself. He was the worst Emperor, husband and father. Not an ounce of compassion for anyone. He never acknowledged any responsibility, while he built a harem of dozens of murderous wives. Knowing that didn't phase him at all. A truly despicable human.

Even though the children were innocent, I would have liked the Empress to know exactly why her son died. Had she had sense to really see Ruyi wasn't trying to challenge her position and possibly got along with her, they would have been formidable in overseeing the harem, but the Empress was so insecure she teamed up with Noble Consort Hui who was even more childish and just as insecure. Never was going to end well for either of them.

The fact is the emperor’s love is toxic! He claim to love Ruyi but allowed so much bad things to happen to her, his harem is filled of evil women that would scheme and plot evil and he just turned a blind eye to it all! Anybody can come up with any lie about Ruyi and he believe it and punish her for it! Throughout her love for him she was humiliated, tormented and betrayed by him!

She did everything to keep Ruyi at the bottom. She knows had it not been for the late Emperor making that ruling she'd not be the empress and Ruyi would. She murdered innocent kids and people to maintain her status and instead it took that bracelet she gave Ruyi and the other filled with Basil seeds to open the emperor's eyes. Now on her death bed she still can't be honest.

He was a hoot. It's like he did not have a heart of flesh, it's something about him I didn't like even when I see him in other movies it's like I'm looking at his very soul .everyone hatred for Ryiu. She was young she didn't wanted to be Empress. She just wanted to be loved by him because she truly loved him. He even put her in the cold place, and accuse her of fooling around. And he will not believe.her when he did, it was too late. He was a cheater and he didn't and will not accept he was wrong he taught what ever he did it was right. I was so glad he died alone. In the end-all Riyu died in peace. She went through a lot with him . And he never appricate her. All he wanted was fresh young woman and when he use them up go straight to another. He was a Leach for an Empror.

There are many villains in this show. Comparatively she is not the worse valiant. In this set up it hard not to get caught up in the power struggle.
The two Wicked ones was the Queen and Jia! Wei became wicked too survive! These was young girls fighting for attention, positions Love and him Claimed he loved Ruyi. I wouldn’t wanted him!And my world he would have been everything in the book and it’s not even good!
When and how did Ruyi curse your child to death? And is the emperor cool with Ruyi cursing their child? Which I do not believe Ruyi did. After she past away he acted like she was greatest woman on earth knowing what she did. And still he treated Ruyi like dirt seriously why?

One of the servants claimed a partially burned paper was Ruyi cursing the child.....why, I don't know. Empress took that random accusation and ran with it. Emperor didn't flinch because he didn't believe it. Plus, Empress _cursed_ Ruyi to 10yrs of infertility.

To be fair, the fact that he treated her merely as a dutiful empress while she lived drove her mad. Not saying that she’s faultless, but even Ruyi later on mentions that to the emperor - about how he treated her while she was alive vs. after her death.

Was he supposed to be saying endear? This is better, but not by much. If he was a decent person he would have told her that he loved her, even if he didn't that was the least he could have done since she was on her death bed. Of course we all know he is not a decent person.
I think that enduring is not in the sense of tolerating but of supporting.

至於要如何解釋乾隆使用了「變故」一詞？有學者指出，當乾隆提出東巡時，富察皇后還深陷喪子之痛，但為了不掃乾隆的興，她刻意隱瞞病情，所以當乾隆發現富察皇后身體狀況不對勁時，已經為時已晚，才說出了「變故」，並含有「自責」的意味。
