How to do a Broken U-turn

Steps for making a proper U-turn:
• Turn right signal and pull over next to the car on the right side or curb
• Turn left signal, the gear on drive and the wheel all the way to the left
• Look both sides of the road, mirrors and be sure no cars are in the block
• Reverse and the wheel all the way to the right
• Check left and right and back through the rear windshield while you start moving the car back
• Left signal, put the car to drive and turn the wheels all the way to the left

The only way is to get used to your car first ( how long the front of your car) and keep driving! More experience you have, better judgements you make.
It is always safer to lean forward to see better.

Key Turn & 3 point Turn.

Is it ok to make u turn on double yellow line?

gyalwang tsering By law we are not allowed to cross double solid yellow line however they don’t make it clear when it comes to a broken u-turn ( 3point turn , k- turn ..)
Only time we are allowed to do the broken u-turn is on a 2way traffic which 2 way traffic streets should have a double solid yellow line.
