@@rachel-ur5bx the quote, "those who know don't tell, and those who tell don't know" really resonated with me. don't feel pressured to flaunt or explain who you are and what you do. just embody. do things because it nurtures your soul, and amplifies your purpose. trust your intuition to guide you, don't try to chase an image of what you feel the aesthetic of a spiritualist is, because the divinity you seek is already graced upon you. i also feel that the desire rooted in your ego is not all bad, it was just the path needed for you to tap in. everyone is guided to their path in different ways. now you're at the next stage and you need to ascend and keep growing in gratitude and openness, dive deeper into your rediscovery and self mastery. it''s okay to feel these birthing pains.

I just quit my job today 5 minutes before I was supposed to clock in. I don’t have another job lined up and I’m still in college. Fortunately I am still living with my family but they are not very supportive of me leaving the job even though it causes me so much internal pain. (I was a waitress if anyone was wondering). No amount of money is worth sacrificing my happiness and since working at this job my mental health has drastically declined. I have a lot of anxiety of how to tell my family and what to do next but I’ve also never felt more free and proud of myself for putting my mental health first. This video was really comforting to watch and I needed it especially right now. Thank you

I went through the same exact thing in December 2019. I say the only difference is that my support system is my friends not my family when it comes to making decisions and understanding my reason. I thought about quitting my job (server life) for months because I knew how much harm it was doing to me and I just hated waking up and going to work it actually made me even more depressed to even wake up for my day. And then one day I was supposed to work a night shift and 20 minutes before It I emailed management my resignation letter. It was not planned at all it was actually the most spontaneous thing I’ve ever done. I believe you made the right choice for yourself. You did an act of self-love and I know how hard that is. When it comes to telling your family remember that their reaction although it may be harsh comes out of love for you to be successful and not have a hard life. I didn’t tell my parents until a month later that I wasn’t working anymore because I’m able to do that but I understand your situation is different. But once I did tell them they were just really worried n lectured me of course but you have to remember what people tell you like even your family, you cannot take it personally. You should tell your family w/ confidence and with a plan of attack. If u dont know what u want to do next you can either wait to tell them until you do know or you can tell them the truth which is you are doing a lot of research on what it is you’re passionate and interested about so that you know what you pick you will be proud of yourself and that you made this choice because you understand that happiness, wealth, & Health are important to you and if one thing is missing out of that combination then something needs to change and that’s exactly what you’re doing. Although I don’t know you I know your position and I’m proud of you! Be excited! You’re growing!

I told my mom the day that I did it and she was really shocked but also told me it was my business and that it was okay. She didn’t realize how much the job was affecting me and she’s glad that I did it for myself. I have yet to tell my dad about it because he handles things a little differently but my mom said she’d help me break the ice. I’m sure he will want what’s best for me and I’m still really confident in my decision. Thank you so much for your message

"hit rock bottom as soon as possible" is such an important phrase. I feel that I've hit "rock bottom" twice in my life. once when i was younger (trigger warning: suicide/self harm) and almost commit suicide, my life changed after this and i began to see the world in a new a positive way but still struggled with depression in some ways. this didn't last forever. my life has changed so much since then. I also felt that i recently "hit rock bottom" in these past few months. my grandfather passed away, covid changed sooooo many things for me like plans after graduation from college, a close friend of mine commit suicide in May, and i began to feel really hopeless in general. i have used manifestation, meditation, journaling, praying, and other important tools to help move myself in a new direction. i am still struggling with motivation at times but i know i am on the right path.

"I always felt like there was something wrong with the amount that I had" (6:25). chills. I just realized a limiting belief I've carried since childhood
    Other notes I took:
    - "What you allow is what will continue" (9:30)
    - shadow work [TW!!!] (10:38)
    - "[O]ne of my biggest pieces of advice is for everyone to hit rock bottom as soon as possible. Really just get to that point where you're on your knees just willing to do anything to heal, because-from that place-I feel like everything is possible. You're *fully surrendered* and you're open to receiving guidance. You're open to finally being honest with yourself" (11:03)
    - "Yeah, this happened and it wasn't okay. And, like, it makes sense that I'm so sensitive and that I have anxiety or that certain things trigger me because of my past. And, really making all of my emotions valid and just kind of remembering that they're valid was enough healing. Just confronting everything that I ever felt and being like, 'Oh, well that's why I felt that way. Like, I just have trauma. I have PTSD. I'm a sensitive person. I deeply care about the people that I love and have in my life ... I gave myself space to feel everything that I need to feel" (13:26)
    - "Welcome everything, but be beyond it" (16:11)
    - "Let all of that stuff come up so that it can be witnessed" (16:21)
    - "It was like rock bottom, which was still amazing and so necessary" (17:05)
    - "[A]ny time I was feeling sad, it was an opportunity for me to love myself even more" (26:41)
"[W]hen I started to use my breath and extend my exhale which activates the parasympathetic nervous system, I was actually able to calm my body down from the physiological level. And I think a lot of times when people have anxiety, or experience just a very busy mind, they try to use their mind to calm their mind down and that is so challenging. And, so, what makes it easier is using the body" (27:53)
"[O]nce you connect to your breath, you can calm your mind" (28:19)

I use to be so reckless, careless, angry and empty and never really owned up to it or acknowledged it. I use to lack confidence and self love and showed it through how I treated others and myself (which at the time I didn’t see). I am a completely different person now, thank God. I’m still on the journey but on a completely different path. Thank you for sharing your journey Hitomi.

it’s 7 am here and I haven’t slept yet, Hitomi your life, your message is the light in so many peoples lives. But not only do you spread love, you teach us to love and to accept love and that is the most beautiful and important thing. when your were talking about the self awareness and the change you saw needed to happen, and reflecting on the environment you grew up in, and the individuals whom surrounded you, it was so powerful that you were able to visualise and conceptualise a healthy environment when it was such a contrast to the environment you had been and were in. it reminded me of one of Amy Lee’s videos where she says when you heal your trauma, and stop the cycle you are healing your mother and your grandmothers trauma, as by healing yourself you are healing them, but letting the pain stop with you through grow and the self awareness each one of us holds over our own life and energy. sending love to you and every single soul whom reads this, thankyou for being alive, thankyou for holding potential of love and light, whether you see it yet or not, and thankyou for simply being here as that can be the hardest thing to do at times. love to every single one of you, bless you on your journey and our journeys together, thankyou.

Thank you for sharing your journey! The most important journey we can all take and often neglect to embark on is the spiritual. It is the most pure, sincere, healthful, peaceful and powerful endeavor one can initiate. The rat race of life is NOT living. I too, manifest things.. naughty things even.. makes me wonder about why the universe lets me but I guess that is the beauty of it all.. I seek honor, righteousness, wisdom..and a few selfish things too.. and it is awesome. I find the greatest way to gain in life is by GIVING. I have my flaws but life is beautiful. Seeing you makes me smile, and when you smile I can feel your joy and I celebrate you!

I love Hitomi, AND I think it is damaging to circulate the idea that one must or should hit rock bottom to be able to grow or to fully evolve either spiritually, or in any way. I would love to add a few things to whomever would like to listen: You do not need to be baptized by fire to be born again or to come out better on the other side, and saying that you SHOULD do something like hit the bottom is harmful. Humans are changing at every moment and in every moment. Small or large, you can change and happiness is not a final destination to feel fulfilled and it does not have to arrive after dramatic shifts. To think that you are waiting for one large earth shattering change to make you whole is a disservice to yourself. You are allowed to evolve in your unique way, without any "shoulds." I send love to all beings, may you always be open to your power and may you always feel whole. And I do think Hitomi says this as well in her video along with the idea of rock bottom. Thank you for sharing your story and spreading love and light. I only hope that I can do the same.

@@kianna2593 Yes, agreed! But what would it look like to challenge the assumption that you have to reach your low to appreciate life.
