The WHOLE CAST was a great endemble!!!! It got stupid when they added Sharon Stone and James Spader to the cast. I think that was the time when they had that writers strike and so the writing and stories really suffered and then they canceled the show.
Absolutely definitely see the whole William Hinks story arc of The Practice - Season 5, episodes 8 to 13. It has a rather explosive end that left my jaw dropping. All episodes are up on RUclips (I just watched them - now I'm heading straight to order this whole season on blu-ray!).
Michael Emerson looks like he’s still in his 20’s or early 30’s here but- The fact is he was already in his 40’s when he played William Hinks- ....just how is it possible 😅
@valkur8 Wow, that's pretty creative. I thought it was random to give it a flavor of LOST since now everyone knows who Emerson is. But Giacchino's music is incredible. It just covers everything. What a beautiful mind. Makes me grateful that I can hear. BTW, Emerson creeped me out so much when he was in The Practice. If it weren't for LOST and all the interviews, I would still get creeped out by him. He was also in an episode of Law and Order SVU, playing the bad guy, again. Thanks 4 the response!
Michael Emerson is a brilliant actor. I love when actors can act with their eyes, without saying a word-- like Helen Mirren in "The Cook The Thief..." ('disliked that movie...loved her performance in it though). I would love to have seen Michael Emerson in Oscar Wilde's play "The Importance of being Ernest" or any Shakespeare play (especially the lead in Hamlet). Has anyone seen Emerson's stage work? valkur8-- Thanks for posting this clip. :)
He looked utterly _gorgeous_ playing Oscar Wilde himself! Gods, I wish I'd been there to see that... * fanning myself * www.centertheatregroup.org/about/timeline/1998-2007/
@valkur8... Ha! I was watching this clip--remembering that it was shot years before LOST...and around 2:28 I noticed the music and when I heard the trombone (?) slide down a minor third (or whatever interval makes that creepy sound), I said to myself "Oh my gosh--how prophetic! This sounds JUST like music from LOST!" All the while I was thinking, "Wow--J.J. Abrams must have seen Emerson in this role and made note of the music to use in Lost." You overdubbed Lost music? Well played!!! :)
@mecagoenboba When I first saw this scene, and how Michael Emerson was channeling the spirit of Ben from LOST through his acting of William Hinks. All I could think of was "dammit, where is Michael Giacchino's score! It would fit perfectly here." So I searched for a piece of music that fit and "Bon Voyage Traitor", used during the season 2 finale, I thought fit the best.
He totally deserved the Emmy he won for this role. Michael Emerson is brilliant!
This was the series that introduced us to one best character actors who ever lived

Emerson's performance in this show convinced Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse to cast him in Lost. The rest is history
Let this man play Hannibal Lector!👏👏
OMG yes!
How he is so creepy and cute at the same time!
I don't know!!! He just... does.
one of those "saxophone so loud" scenes you can hear the actors, just the MF background soundtrack
Thanks for posting! I'd love to see more, Michael Emerson is the BEST!!!!!!!!!

LOVED THIS SHOW!!!
MY FAVORITE SHOW EVER!!!
I love Kelli Williams!! Such a great actress, but she was amazing as Lindsay Dole.

oh! gosh! he's so creepy.
i love emerson!!!
@evilpinko the most lovable creepy guy ever.
Music too loud! Good background, but can you turn it down a little?
Um iI'm going to thumbs down for adding that stupid background music.
totally agree - couldn't hear the forewoman deliver the verdict at the end because of the overbearing music/soundtrack
I wondered if that was on the show, it sucked.
Exactly. Wtf
Yeah no music next time please 😮
love the lost theme.

We have to get back to the island!!
Finch from Person of Interest.
Music is horrible for this.
He should play the Joker.
Aha! You can check out his Joker's voice right here:

Funny you should say that...
That's an example of how the right theme music in the background can really spice up the suspense and excitement in a particular scene.
I liked Lindsey
Goddamit, GET ME RORSCHACH ON THE LINE!
This fake music sucks.
You guys got any milk?
What's up with the music from LOST?
