Aircraft parking and stop positions

Hello again everyone- here is a bit of trivia information. I’m sure you’ve all noticed the parking the parking spots painted on the ground where different types of aircraft stop at designated lines. The stop positions are for allowing clearance for ground vehicles around the aircraft or behind it where there’s a thoroughfare for airport vehicles etc. Another reason is to allow the aircraft to stop in a position that allows for the fuel truck to park under the wing or close to it so that fuelling can take place since a lot of the airports have underground fuel hydrant systems from fuel farms. If an aircraft is stopped at the wrong spot then it makes connecting the fuel hoses etc difficult with impact on safety. The other Important reason is that the aircraft must be in the correct position for the aero bridge positioning for passenger boarding etc. That is why aircraft must stop in correct positions.

Ha ha- the A220 will likely assigned different parking gates - that was the loading vehicle loading- I like to show the real sounds of what is going on - no fancy milieux rtc😀✈️
