I'm so grateful for this video you made! You saved the day!! Thank you!! (Now I just need to figure out how to edit the time on each entry to show the correct end time)
Thanks for your hard work Connie. I have a Class Homepage with the default Class Schedule (Group Calendar). Is there a way to have this calendar I just created using your steps appear with the 3 latest events visible on the homepage?
Hi Connie, thanks for making this video. It’s helpful. Just one question, can this calendar/ list be synchronised to outlook calendar? As the date and time are not detailed.
Hi. The Lists feature does not automatically sync to the calendar feature in Outlook, even with the Calendar display. There may be some automation that could make it possible - I have not tried it. The other option for you is to create a SharePoint Calendar and then view that calendar in the Team. With a SharePoint calendar you can view that group in Outlook (as a calendar). Hope that helps.
Thank you, Connie. This is great! One question, though. When I add new items to the source list, the new events on the calendar show up with "12:00am - 12:00am". Is there a way to change this behavior?
Hi. Try what I suggested at minute 3:40 to get this time not to show. The other curious thing about your question is the time you mention because I am wondering if your list has a start time column and a end time column, of if you need both?
Hello Connie. I watched this, plus your follow up video about making this a calendar in Sharepoint and showing it in Teams. This is exactly what I want to do, but I have one question. I only want 2 people to be able to edit the teams list and the teams calendar, and everyone else only the ability to view it and not be able to change anything. How do you do that?
In Lists, if you Manage Access, you can change the Members list to view only. This is the short answer :) - at Top right corner of Lists you will see i in a circle, from there go to manage access, then groups. The 2 people you want to edit would have to be in the owners group. If this does not work well within the Team you have then you will have to learn how to create a custom group and use it here. That requires a lot of instruction, so I will not be able to go into detail here.
Hi. So when you clicked on the Plus sign in the channel, did you search for the word Website? If it does not show it is possible that your Microsoft Administrator restricted this, see if you can talk to them about what you want :).
Hi. Because this calendar is coming from a List I do not know of any way to display that in Outlook. You may want to consider a SharePoint calendar instead and then you can display that calendar in Teams and in Outlook.
Unfortunately I do not have a quick fix for you on this. You would have to look into Power BI or other automation to possibly help in this area... I'm not sure.
Hi Connie, Just what I was looking for. You have some great stuff on your site. Love it! Keep up the good work.
Thank you! I appreciate your feedback!

Thank you so much for the comment. I'm glad it helped.
Hi there, How do we make an event go over 2-3 days. I can add it for one day but it won't allow me to add it over multiple days.
I noticed under site contents, there is a default 'Events' list. When opened it appears as a calendar where you can add events/leave etc.

Hi Connie, where can I find the list creation video?
HI. Here is it - ruclips.net/video/xtRVteikhgE/видео.htmlsi=ig2ZTNF8Xy417Lx_
I can't seem to find the "website" app. Any ideas?

How can I see the calendar in outlook?

Bugs bugs bugs! - ensure you create/edit your columns in TEAMS and not in Sharepoint... in fact do this before opening Sharepoint.
How can we change the colors of each event/employee?
Unfortunately I do not have a quick fix for you on this. You would have to look into Power BI or other automation to possibly help in this area... I'm not sure.
If you are referring to changing the color within the Lists app you can Format the column and use Conditional formatting.
