it feel like they avoiding any romance for 4 games and suddenly make this game overly romantic to make up for all of the previous entry 🤣 Thank for the recap, im about to finish the game and somehow want to know more about it XD At least they're not overly complicated thing this time.
Yeah definitely agree on that one. It a little confusing to me. because they've done great romances before, without overshadowing the group dynamic. But in this game it feels like the Alphen and Shinnoe show with friends way too much.

This game is my guilty pleasure. I played it all the way through and enjoyed it. The pacing is pretty bad and the final battle is literally "the power of friendship" but I still loved it because I fell in love with the characters and visuals.
thank you for this summary, honest. I bought this the year it came out, being a big fan of the series, but I had a ps4 at the time and played through it my entire winter break, only to find out reaching ganath haros was only cour 1, lol. I noticed there were some performance issues with my frame rate due to the game being built for next gen, and I also lacked time, going back to college, so I decided I'd put it aside along with other next gen games til I gott a ps5 to fully experience it. Fast forward to 2023 and I forgot most of the plot haha (It was a hell of a year). But yea, I only needed 10 minutes of this video

As the end of tales of arise dragged on too much I gave up and moved on to other games. That was around a year ago and I wanted to return to this game and finish it's story as it has been bugging me ever since. This helped, thanks.

Lots of things i dont understand even after finishing the game:
1. Why does the sovereign needs to be dahnan?
2. When the game says both Rena and Dahna are meant to be one world, what does it mean? Was it a single planet that got split into 2? If yes, how did that happen?
3. How is Naori able to have descendent, considering her thorn make her untouchable which means she cant have kids?
4. How did Shionne get to Dahna in the beginning?
1. Because for the ceremony to be successful, u need to have control over all 6 elementals (Fire, wind, water, earth, light, darkness). But Renans only have control over Darkness, so u need Dahnas for that.
2. Not really sure, maybe because Dahna only has fire, water, earth, wind, light elementals, it only lacks Darkness. The same can be said about Rena, it lacks other elementals. It's only complete when both worlds merge into one
ok, what about 2, 3 and 4?
3. Artificial insemination from a sperm bank is possible or whoever Naori married was serious a masochist.
@@datetien4846 also, in the end of the game, the great spirit of Rena is able to absorb Dahna anyway, how is it able to do that without a maiden and sovereign ?

Yeah I get that but when you add slavery and the blatant hate that Dahans and Renas have for each other its refreshing compared to how it was done before in my opinion.

i'm confused, and i would like your help. about the how they harvest light energy in cyslodia, and fire in calglia.
in calaglia the renans worked people to death. and from their bodies fire energy emerged, but shionne said they have machines for extracting astreal energy from minerals! so why use people to mine in claglia?
and what about cyslodia? do they also make the dhanans work to death in order to extract light energy from their bodies? or is it not from their bodies? but rather from the environment? i'm not sure.
and why it's so dark in cyslodia? while in clalglia it's still hot and has fire? and again, why not using machines to mine minerals in calalglia? thanks for your recap!

I stopped playing a little after the 1 month time skip, around 10:30 or so in the video. Just felt like it was dragging on too much, even though overall I did enjoy it (this was my first ever Tales game). I thought I was pretty close to the end when I had stopped, but it seems that was not the case lol. But damn the story really seemed to go off the rails after that time skip huh 😅 Aliens and shit. Thanks for the video though, bro! 💪 Glad to finally see the end of this story at least.

Honestly, this isn't the best introduction to Tales (this game started as something else). Among the games that are easily available, I'd recommend Tales of Vesperia.
I’m assuming that everyone else watching this also felt that the story was dragging on too long and the game became a slog. Cool. Now I can move on to a new game.
I played so many Tales games, the battle system here is godlike but I didn't play Tales not only because of battle but mostly for story and this game lacks the impact of it(though I like their characters).
If I'll pick story-wise I still pick Abyss, Vesperia, Berseria than this if you care on story. what's your list guys?
This game's story starts off strong. But random introduction of the aliens in the last 1/3 of the game makes everything messy. Also to answer your question I would put Xillia, Vesperia, Berseria and couple of others over this game story wise. Hopefully the next game is better.

It's almost like I can make content about a topic regardless of whether like it or not.
I gave up on this game due to Lord Dohalim being a broken boss out of no where. Cant be asked putting effort into thus game
Remember when you meet the angels in symphonia? And you get the epic music and you barely squeeze that victory in through Kratos right after Remiel (or didn’t if you had a skill issue) then Yggdrasil shows up and sodomizes the team so badly they have to run “to another world” ?
That feeling of dread wondering if he was going to find you and curiosity as you learn more about the world and Cruxis and why the world is the way it is and how many people died all because someone decided to be a jerk to half elves?
The likable cast, hatable but understandable villains? Yeah none of that is in Arise. My advice? Arise and pick an older tales of game. Hell Symphonia has gotten its 50th port to the current gens go play it.
This was one of the worst written game I've ever played and I had to drop it midway. Thank you for this video. I wouldn't have known what happened if not for this.

I spent a couple of hours playing this and just couldn't force myself to continue. Terrible writing and not the most engaging gameplay made it atrocious for me. Getting to the DA:O now, and it's a lot better

This game was fine until the 3rd act, then it just turned into a generic sci-fi plot with aliens, dying planets and a stubborn villain.
Honestly, I had issues with the story and characterization about 8 hours into the game.
