Ingredients:
1 head of cauliflower
My Vegan Kitchen Life™ All Purpose Seasoning
Vegan liquid egg alternative ( I used Just Brand)
All purpose flour
Grapeseed or Avocado oil for frying
General Tso Sauce:
1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
1/4 cup vegetable broth
3 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons maple syrup or agave nectar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, minced
8-10 Thai chili peppers or 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
Optional: sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions:
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, vegetable broth, rice vinegar, maple syrup or agave nectar, and cornstarch until the cornstarch is dissolved. Set aside.
Heat the sesame oil in a skillet or wok over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, ginger, and chili flakes. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Pour in the sauce mixture and stir well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
Remove from heat and let the sauce cool slightly before using.
Add cauliflower to general tso mixture. Gently mix to combine.
Enjoy!
