Hello from Michigan! I just bought Aeon’s End yesterday and have been going through the different tutorials on RUclips, and this one I’ve found to be the most thorough and most informative. Thank you for recording this. I’m about to check out your 3-player playthrough.
Got this one for Christmas from my son and I'm super stoked to play! This rules tutorial is amazing and so easy to follow. I was threatened by the game, but I feel totally prepared to play now. Thank you!!
Nice tutorial/playthrough Paul :) just to spot a minor mistake, the first discard rotation of adelheim wasn't done properly and resulted in having both sparks again to prepare on the second turn. And then you did it again :p that way you have allways sparks cuz you dont put it on top of discard pile but under it, that way it's allways on top when you flip the discard pile into the deck :) keep up with the good content.
This is definitely the best video tutorial of Aeon's End I've found scouring the internet. Thank you so much! Can't wait to play this game with the girlfriend
Thanx for this video! I just received Aeon's End today and gonna try the game in a few hours. This content will help me to get started. Greetings from Holland!
@@GamingRulesVideos Aeon's End gave me a wonderful feeling while playing and thanks to your playthrough I could start playing right away. I'm going to put it right back on the table tonight. Would love to see more videos from you about Aeon's End. I wonder how the more difficult opponents will play in the expansions.
Hi Paul, hope you're well. Just wanted to tha k you for this video. I'm an avid fan of yours, watching numerous videos and I can honestly say this is my out and out favourite having just watched it (again and again). Thanks to you I've just backed the new kickstarter for aeons end this week. Hope you are safe and sound. Take csre5
Was thinking of doing the same, but people were saying to get this base game or war eternal first, to get used to it all, then get the first legacy game and play the next ones in sequence cause it's a storyline which finishes with the new kickstarter out now, so just know the new kickstarter is like the conclusion
@@GamingRulesVideos I backed the gravehold legacy with 2 waves and bought second edition and outcasts a week ago with their expansions LOL the mrs and I are totally addicted now, the story was meh for me cause I read a synopsis about it all, but the gameplay is brilliant, please play more on your channel!!
Great playthrough. I stopped about halfway through the video to look up info on this game. I saw they had late pledges still open on their last Kickstarter so of course I had to pledge 🤣
Excellent walk through! Thank you! I've just bought the game but it's still in its box. I'm looking forwards to playing with my girlfriend who is usually my Wingspan or Star Realms opponent. Maybe I should've bought legacy instead as you suggest... but we'll see.
1:21:20 I know you didn't have to, but could you not have prepped Planar Insight into Adelheim's #4 breach (for the +1 damage) -- seeing as you had just focused it in the same turn? A similar thing happens at 1:12:48
I like to ask about difficulty of Nemesis. When you already good player and know game well you will still have 50 50 chance lose or win on increase difficulty? Or you will superior ?
When did you get your game? I notice my rageborne mat don't say add fury token and after looking into it it seems to have errata on rage and the prince nemesis
Very very cool 🏂 game, I love how is mage do things… but… Looks like Nemesis doesn't do mush and pretty static and weak.. Or maybe I'm wrong. Im very experienced players and I scare the game became self play building deck game and Nemesis play very possive role, just a bit mess up your plans.. Or im wrong?
I have had many games of AE where I'm turning over the last card and it's mage I win, nemesis I lose. I usually play multi-mage solo and will play multiple games over a couple of days switching mages, nemesis and a card or 2 from the array from game to game.
I bought Aeon's Legacy after watching this. Great game, only some design choices are bottom line weird - the game actually gets progressively harder the worse you are at it, and vice versa, meaning that bad players are in a serious danger of entering a spiral of death, while good players will have an even easier time as the campaign goes on. Other then that, it's a fun experience, well worth a playthrough.

Just bought the game (getting into boardgames finally), this was super clear and informative, thanks!
This game just finally arrived and I just finished the tutorial set up, ive been watching this video for days now in anticipation, lets goooo
I just got it today, and have not opened the box yet :)

Just picked this up from a fellow Patron - cannot wait to get into the breach!
Thanks for showcasing this again Paul!
A great playthrough of a game I've been interested in playing for a while. Thanks, Paul! 👍
Thanks!
Maybe my favorite deckbuilder. Thanks for the playthrough!
Thank you for this video. Cleared up all of the questions I had. Excited to jump in with some friends and have a blast
Super helpful to watch a few rounds of you playing to help us with our first play through!

Let me know how it goes. I absolutely love the game and have plans to cover it a lot more this year.

This video saved us, as we purchased a used copy of this game and were very unsure of the starting decks. Thank you again, Paul!

Thanks for watching. I really need to get more of this played as it is an amazing game.
@@Wraxieus IMO, Legacy is the best way to start because it teaches you all the rules gradually.

@@GamingRulesVideos we are stuck on the Burning Kor nemesis on the outcasts expansion, be good to see a video of you playing that one lol
hi from NZ. using your video to learn the new age expansion which has extra rules but for the basic play this very helpful . thanks
Where can I purchase that playmat?
What a great play through, thank you!
After watching your play through, I ordered the game. Thanks, I think!
Hope you enjoy. This video was just the tip of the iceberg :)
Around 38:20 you use mage’s talisman and you add a charge to Mist but you forgot to add a charge to any one ally.
Gah. Thanks :)
Fab stuff! Thanks very much Paul.
1:48:15 Mist could have used the Garnet Shard to cast Adelheim's Spectral Echo for 3 damage or even her own Spark.
Great playthrough. I stopped about halfway through the video to look up info on this game. I saw they had late pledges still open on their last Kickstarter so of course I had to pledge 🤣
Hey Paul, 33:12 I believe you skipped buying phase for Adelheim and effectively lost 3 eather. Or was it intentional?
Excellent walk through! Thank you! I've just bought the game but it's still in its box. I'm looking forwards to playing with my girlfriend who is usually my Wingspan or Star Realms opponent. Maybe I should've bought legacy instead as you suggest... but we'll see.
Extremely helpful!
Learning, just got legacy as well as new ages
goddamnit, seeing your dice, I just reopened my pledge manager for outcasts and added those to my pledge.. ^^
Great tutorial vdo

It's been a while, but yeah, you can prep a spell into a breach you have focussed that round.
I like to ask about difficulty of Nemesis. When you already good player and know game well you will still have 50 50 chance lose or win on increase difficulty? Or you will superior ?
The different Nemesis have different difficulty levels. And you can play on a harder version once you get really good at the game.
@@GamingRulesVideos Thank you. Looks like Harder version just made slighted harder not so much?
So like in the market area it's the same 4 spells for the entire game?
This or pathfinder? I can't decide, I feel both are cool and I like both. Great tutorials! It really helps that you are setting things up as you play!
Are you looking I to Pathfinder the card game ?
When did you get your game? I notice my rageborne mat don't say add fury token and after looking into it it seems to have errata on rage and the prince nemesis
baldy missed his first charge given to him by the ally
Where can i get the play mat omg...... Cant find it in Stock everwhere :(
Gamersmat.com for about $30 including shipping but not tax. Hope this helps.

yes! the game i played with a buddy last night ended with 2 cards... mage we win, nemesis we lose.. we lost..
I bought Aeon's Legacy after watching this.

If you are an experienced deckbuilder Legacy is not needed.
Ok 👌 on 1.15 is start to be monotonous.. Your become strong and Nemesis sucks.. Not really tension and combination is predicated…
RUclips algorithm help.
I don't see any challenge in this game. Amazing game mechanics but very Poor Nemesis play so you kick poor little baby 👶 as much as you can
