you just un-nested the greatest mystery!! here's an icing on the cake. just change the keyboard shortcut of (multi-camera > enable) and (multi-camera > flatten)!! i changed it to keys 8 and 9. now its magic. 89. boom boom. its done if it's multi layered, press 8, select track manually, press 9. still better. thanks dude!!
Dude! You're the most helpful RUclipsr I know! Other guys will show specific effects but not the main problems like unnest a sequence. I hope your channel grows and earns the fame it deserves! Great job man!
Wow, this should be named “Premiere Pro Tip of the Year”! I’m pretty good at Premiere, but I’ve never thought of using the MultiCamera feature to “un-nest” a nested sequence 😱
dude!!!!! i like how you're always trying to maximize the use of features and teach us so we're not left behind, most tutorial channels stick to basics and never touch on advanced actions or never trying to pick apart features like you, so i see the same old basic tutorial on every channel, you either have too much free time to experiment or research these features or you're bored, please learn more applications and continue to do this in them as well, you'll be an instant go-to and massively appreciated
I'm a beginner with Premiere Pro, and I am so glad you did this tutorial. I had some stuff that I wouldn't next because I could not figure out how to do it. One source i read even said you couldn't. Thank you! I like to organize my stuff, and now I can do so without fear of not being able to back out of it if i need to do so.
Thank you for this! The multicam, selecting the track as camera and flattening it a golden hack! Great workflow when having to hand over an XML to a colorist.
this is such an in depth, fantastic explanation without feeling dragged out, or extra fluff for the sake of watch time or getting more ads in. Good stuff
Wow. This blew my mind. Using Multicamera functions to unnest nests that have multiple layers... amazing. I would have never figured this out on my own. Great tutorial. A+++
It's already been echoed many times in this chain, but I have to chime in and say that was the most useful Premiere tips vid I've seen in a long time! Thanks!
WHAT I LEARNED FROM THIS VIDEO: - How to insert sequences as individual clips. - Basic idea of how premiere's multi-camera functions work. THANK YOU JAVIER MERCEDES, VERY COOL!!
This is a very useful way to do that. I used to copy/paste but deselecting the "insert and overwrite" option and drag and drop that nested sequence is BOOM! Thanks for this tip!
This is great! I really appreciate all the knowledge generously share. Most of the time I end up with new tricks to streamline my workflow. Thanks! My hope is that you always live a life of abundance.
This video pretty much saved my life. I had been pulling my hair out for a week because I had made a nest, inside a nest, inside a nest, inside ANOTHER nest. So you can imagine the lag nightmare my computer was going through. Every click, the spinning wheel of death would show up and it was impossible to work. Then I found this video and it was fixed! I can't thank you enough. I thought I was going to have to completely redo the 40 minute video I was working on!
Hey really appreciate the content you make! I come across this channel very often when I'm looking for a fix. This time you saved me from restarting a project- cause it would've taken more than 10x longer to render it with nested sequences for some reason.
Mostly when I look at other tutorials it's like "okay, but this is not in depth enough" and then your videos fulfill all of my nerdy needs haha thank you, Javier. If you should ever release an Editing Course, I will take it
It turns out great to tell the details of the video editing. It is the details that distinguish the professional. With great respect from the editor and director from Russia
Wow, you make it look so easy, but if I had to try and figure it out it would have taken days. The easy part I would have figures out, but not the multi cam version.
Bro you saved me! I accidentally clicked the insert as nest button and could not figure out why every sequence came in nested! I almost lost my mind haha. THANKYOU!!!
This is awesome! I edit all the narrative stuff I shoot, and I like doing it in separate sequences so that everything is organized. That makes it tough when wanting to export to color cause I gotta flatten everything, but this just helped so much!
Super informative. Beware though, that the multicam/flatten technique will leave any audio behind. It will also destroy nested MOGRTs. At least in my test project here on version 22.1.2.
exactly what i was looking for! thanks a lot! and also its so important that youre thinking of more real life situations where things arent as easy as 1 video and audio track and provide a solution for that as well! keep up the great job mate, youve got a new subscriber! :)
No freacking way...the Multicamara feauture is really a Top tier Bug to Un-Nest! Thanks for finding it out! I wish Premiere Pro actually put Un-Nest button though, instead of user finding go away around their defective prodcuts
Great tips, very useful video, without nonsense talking. Quick question, is there s way to use the master of an audio clip, like we use in the video files?
It's crazy Premiere doesn't have an unnest option, with FCP you can create a compound clip (Nest) and then later on can unbreak it back on the timeline and all the original pieces of that compound appear - so handy! It's a process in editing we use all the time, I just can't believe Adobe hasn't released this functionality yet.
I know it's a simple concept in theory, but things can get more complex with edits and effects applied to nested sequences, hopefully this helps!
This is a fantastic tutorial! Well explained. Easy and clear.
Sir please also provide us photo shop tutorial it's humble request
No it's really awesome 🔥
what if the un-nested video clips are on 60 different lines? could you show how to consolidate multiple lines of video onto one track?
How do you actually keep the effects applied on the nested sequence once unested? Like motion, speed, scale etc.
you just un-nested the greatest mystery!!

Very Clever!

Great job man!
Thank you Saiibo!
totally agree, thank you!!
Wow, this should be named “Premiere Pro Tip of the Year”! I’m pretty good at Premiere, but I’ve never thought of using the MultiCamera feature to “un-nest” a nested sequence 😱
Adobe should pay you to make tutorials. Dang
Genius! Thank you for putting "unnest" in the title. You just saved me a lot of time!
dude!!!!!

I rarely find what I don't already know in premiere, but you keep consistently giving me news techniques I couldn't have thought of

I CANT TELL YOU HOW MUCH TIME AND ENERGY YOU JUST SAVED ME. THANK YOU!!!!
Great video and super helpful dealing with nesting clips with FX and transition!
Most focused "unnesting" tutorial ever! Thank you!
Thanks Scott!

This was super timely oddly enough. Did this too 20 times in the last couple of days and helped preserve my timeline after picture lock. Thanks
Multi-layer multi-camera solution saved my hide today. Thank you!
Man when you've reached to that multi-camera option my mind was like "Ohhhhhhh this dude...". An amazing tip. Got yourself a sub instantly
Duuuuude I always work with 2 cameras and always multi-camera on.. I was not aware of this flatten feature.. thank you so much!

This was so helpful! I’m just a beginner with premiere and it is not user friendly at all! I was shocked that they don’t have an unnest button
You have saved me so many hours and been a great teacher! This is super helpful, thank you!
