It's called 'slight of hand', and it's standard practice for any magician. He also uses distraction techniques, such as chatting (patter) .

its a bar in his pants that fits into a slot on stage its goes all the way up to his belt until he drops it a little note the movement at 4:39 where he keeps his hands on his body and pulls slightly upwards before releasing his hands Michael jackson actually used this trick in his stage performance and he showed people how its done (im sure others used it before him)
i love watching him and i do think, he's amazing. i noticed though that in the first trick with the cards, Dynamo was written differently on the card the two times he showed it to the camera... i still love his work and admire him greatly

You can tell by his reactions after his balancing trick. Its all for the TV ratings ofcourse. The way he does it is as soon as Davina signs the card he will switch it (when it is in his hand and he is folding it) to give a signed card with his signature (2 of spades) to Davina to hold it in her mouth. Now he has got Davina's card in his hand and after he has signed another 2 of spades and is folding it he does the switch again and now he has Davina's card in his mouth. The rest is all theatre to make us believe the cards have switched later. That is the reason his signatures are different, one has quotation marks while other has not got it. He is still quite good how he does the switch (although it happens in his hands)
The one he does on stage is pretty simple i think.. he makes sure the 8 of hearts is at the top and davina writes her name, but he actually folds up the 2 of spades which he previously wrote his name on and gives it to davina.. then he writes his name again on another 2 of spades but folds the 8 up and puts it in his mouth.

The last trick I think he has structure support under his clothes which lock if you slowly apply pressure but won't if you move more rapidly.

i think the hang back thing was done by having sominthing in his shoe to attach him, but the first trick was epic
