Sorry - I did not see this until today. They came to town for the first time, and my brother said he was going to see them. I was not but he dragged me along (dummy me). There were only about 15 people there and we had the nearest table. When they took a break, and he Jim headed to the john, I told my brother I had to go meet him... and did. My claim to fame ... visiting with Jim Morrison sharing the latrine. Then, went to go see them and the original Filmore for a dollar or two on that Friday or Saturday. Spent almost every weekend at the Filmore for about a year and saw many up front and personal, until the crowds found us,.... then only went to certain shows... one of the greatest was The WHO, and The Woody Herman Band in the 'Hush' years, and of course Frank and the Mothers.

This is just superb! These matrix recording’s are probably my favorite five doors concerts even more so than the great stuff from the 1970 tour thank you so much for posting this is giving me a lot of enjoyment ☯️🕉🙀🙏👁💊💊💊💊💊🐾
Superb recording. I just wish there was a live recording of LA Woman and/or Riders like this. Alas it was not to be. Guess the closest we will get are studio outtakes.
Some great vocals by Ray on this. Even in a supporting role. That said, I think the vocals are too loud in the mix. Should be remastered. Great performance nevertheless.
These 'early Matrix Doors' are still the BEST, after all! Pure outstanding, great Rock for all times... Many Thanks! By the way: Is there any chance to get the other 3 discs from this Matrix Box Set of 4? Much appreciated - Enjoy The Doors forever!!!
@@MrDunky123456 Damn, you gotta post some pics of that shit. Or open it and scan the booklet it comes with, i've never even seen pics of the booklet online before.

I was lucky enough to be at one of these nights and met Jim during a break.

Fantastic. Thanks.
Only 2 albums of material here. I assume they were working on waiting for the sun. Been a long time since I have heard the matrix tapes🤘😎
its March 67. the first album had only been released 2 months prior. They wouldn't record / release the second album, for another 6 months.
I now own this set and they're first pressing & still sealed
Never opened??
@@daviddeltoro1808 Yeah still sealed, never opened

That's a link for the front & back it. I'm not opening it, as it would de-value if I did.
Don’t even look at it!
Mil gracias
Awesome album
Me encantó
Rockin'
My man Jimbo Alright.
did the Peter Abram's master tape ever get used for an official Matrix release? this is that hissy first gen recording that sounds quite inferior
Check those Owsley Stanley recordings out. He seems to have recorded everything.
Maybe your ears are inferior.
No music list as to what set was what or what night it was or song ?
