Huge thanks Cindy! The 2 reasons this video actually helped me a LOT: 1. The tips you added about keeping hobbies and references off of your resume . That was something they didn't teach in business school and I never agreed with adding references because I feel it makes employers wonder "....Why would they need a reference if their reputation is decent?". 2. You made me so glad that I stayed and watched until the end, unmasking some of the companies that advertise "build it for free" yet you pay to download it after you spent 2 hours trying to perfect it.

It really is easier to just type your CV as you have the control and more flexibility and stamp it with your persona. If you notice some of those tools (first two) did not align text properly. With Canva geared more towards basic design as aligning and moving can be tricky for some. After seeing this I shall certainly look to teaching people how to properly layout a CV that you can keep forever and adapt. Thanks for sharing.
The video was excellent, and the message was enlightening. However, it seems that the resume builder is not offered for free. It can be frustrating to invest time filling out all the details, only to encounter a request for payment right when you're about to save your work. Please understand that this isn't meant as a negative comment; it's simply an observation based on my experience when I tried it.

thx for valuable info resume builders mostly run by HRs or consultants for collection of data to sell them they block your download and ask for payments even if you cancel they got what they need its better to take a help from friend etc
You can always put student if that's your case and then fill out the anticipated degree date etc :) Volunteer work, babysitting, anything like that is experience so maybe try to fluff it up that way?

I'm looking for a resume builder that allows you to catalog (save) your skillsets and accomplishments (preferably in selectable predefined recruiter/HR friendly search terms), and then tailor different resumes for different job postings. Currently I'm seeking (but not limited to) a sys admin/eng, developer, dba, project manager, analyst or hopefully some position with a combination of those skills. Keeping five or more different resumes is super tedious and overwhelming (just trying to figure out which skills and accomplishments to list and in which order, as well as adding each new skill to the differently ordered resumes. I'm sure it looks like a mess.). It would be ideal to add your skills and accomplishments one time and in one place (database driven site or app), then select some skills and accomplishments as it relates to the job you're applying for and easily order them by relevance and such. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated. :)
yea i dont think its legit ive tried all of them and they have sometimes crazy requirmemts like enter state, pls register somewhere , enter ur credit card info like wtf is this

If you have had no work experience and they ask you for the job title what should I put as a job title?

It's free to type what ever you want on the site..but if you want to save it on your phone it cost..So its not free..free is no fee simple
