Jonylah Forever and Alan Forever make me tear up every time I listen. I just think of my daughter especially when I listen to Jonylah Forever. Two amazing songs but can't listen to them often.

Man, I want Lupe to write more, forget all the freestyles. I like Lupe's SONGS, Little Weapon, Gold vs Right Things To Do, The Die, The Cool, Daydreamin etc. Lupe is an artist, his talent really shows when he puts pen to pad and makes songs. His technical ability is scary, but he's best when he's being creative and crafting and structuring his songs imo.
@@jwood8769 Lol. I had a Drogas Wave song in my little list. Gold vs Right Things to Do is from Waves and it's one of my favorite songs by him (there's also more). As for T&Y I really like Prisoners and Adoration, but the other songs don't connect as strongly with me as his other albums. T&Y was very conceptual, but it wasn't like The Cool or F&L for me, I feel he compromised some of the songwriting and musicality in favor of the technical raps. Those first two albums set a very high bar tho. I'm worried Lupe strives to be like this super rap Lupe where he's overly focused on the entendres, wordplay, and just hitting you with mega bars after bars. I believe Wave was a return to form in some ways. I also really enjoyed Pharaoh Height 2/30, I believe that was the right balance of being technical and delivering great songwriting. In and Schemes really go for me, and he seemed like he was really having fun with how the song was made, especially on Schemes. I want more of that from Lupe. Lupe is going to be a beast regardless, but I just prefer him being more creative and musical than bar-focused.

@@jwood8769 Lol. I had a Drogas Wave song in my little list. Gold vs Right Things to Do is from Waves and it's one of my favorite songs by him (there's also more). As for T&Y I really like Prisoners and Adoration, but the other songs don't connect as strongly with me as his other albums. T&Y was very conceptual, but it wasn't like The Cool or F&L for me, I feel he compromised some of the songwriting and musicality in favor of the technical raps. Those first two albums set a very high bar tho.
I'm worried Lupe strives to be like this super rap Lupe where he's overly focused on the entendres, wordplay, and just hitting you with mega bars after bars. I believe Wave was a return to form in some ways. I also really enjoyed Pharaoh Height 2/30, I believe that was the right balance of being technical and delivering great songwriting. In and Schemes really go for me, and he seemed like he was really having fun with how the song was made, especially on Schemes. I want more of that from Lupe. Lupe is going to be a beast regardless, but I just prefer him being more creative and musical than bar-focused.
