I write raps in my head but when it comes to rnb I have to do his process. I play the whole beat and just create the melody and say a bunch of random shit and then if I like the melody for the hook ect I write around those melodies until the song is done. The problem with that is eventually melodies can become redundant and stagnant. At that point you have to create the melodies ect as you go. But the key is to stick to the concept and don't always settle for the 1st line that pops in your head but rather the line that makes the most since and push forward. As you can see with lupe its a constant rinse and repeat until it all makes sense.

For some reason I can relate to this as well from a photography and editing standpoint. This kind of dialog is just what it looks like in my head while I'm out and when I get back to the editing room. I was just never good at explaining why I saw what I saw in the field or in the edit as well.

Yall might be thinking too hard, you can hear the speed bag, and clearly he's using boxing references so this Is either a concept record of his own creativity or being used in some upcoming boxing video game, or promo for....etc.....I've rapped over dirt bike sounds for a Baltimore bike culture tribute....if you know you know ✍🏿
