Ashley and Austin have also just learned they're distantly related cousins. Ashley was on Ancestry a few days ago and they revealed she and Austin are 10th cousins, once removed.
I would watch this over and over in our minivan and my mom put up with hours of it. She was so kind about it. I asked if she wanted to rewatch it recently because I was feeling nostalgic and she immediately went “NOOOOO.” As if I brought up trauma 😂

You have to watch The Greatest Showman, then you can see the huge amazing development in Zac Efrons voice and all the music will give you goosebumps, possibly make you cry, because it's just so good

Whenever Sharpay sings, I always think of Candice from Phineas and Ferb. There are some really amazing vocal performances in that show and she's just one of the great talents that worked on it. It would be so cool to see a video on like a compilation of Phineas and Ferb songs considering they're typically short, catchy, and sweet.

yes, ashley tisdale was not blonde at the time she recorded this and she's more of a brunette, her blonde hair is definitely not as light as it was when she was on disney. you missed the scene she has with ryan in the end, it's more of a cute reminiscing of the HSM movies (and i love when she says "bye gab" in the first song, another reminiscing, very sharpay). and the most important thing about this movie is that boi, sharpay's dog, was actually ashley tisdale's puppy, maui. he died a couple years ago, she was truly devastated by that lost (as one always is when they loose a beloved pet).
overall, i agree with you, this movie could do with more sharpay, more songs and more focus on her, but it holds a special place on my heart not only because i love sharpay very much, but also, i love her singing "new york's best kept secret", to this day i listen to this one and am so happy that we have a song that showcases more of ashley's talent. i was really looking forward to your reaction to this song specifically.

The dog(s) who played Boi in this movie were not Maui. They are very different breeds of dogs. Maui was a maltipoo and the dogs that played Boi were Yorkshire Terrier’s. Now, Maui does make a cameo in this movie very briefly but that’s it. She isn’t Boi.

Then she gets a movie where she dates a new guy who is played by Austin Butler but then Austin dated Vanessa, who played Gabriella. Gabriella/Vanessa kept stealing Ashley/Sharpay's man, she can never catch a break. That's the joke..

SEQUAL: sharpay is an adult and her and Austin butler are married and they go to her 20 year reunion and they see all of the old high school musical cast. The whole movie is about everyone’s backstories of what the did after high school so we get closure on all the character and who did what/ended up with who😭😭😭

Two things I want to say:
1 - When you said they put bacon in front of the dogs to catch their attention... you were not wrong! They released a version of the comments and BTS texts, and they said they used meat to catch the dogs attention in many scenes.
2 - There is a scene with Ryan as a post credit scene, that gives more about what both are doing with their life.
The coolest part in this movie is that "Boi" means ox or bull in Brazilian Portuguese, what makes it a really nice joke for those who speaks the language.

Loving the HSMTMTS kick lately! Would also be super interested to see a reaction comparing OG HSM songs to the HSMTMS covers-how they sing parts differently, similar, what effect the diff vocal choices the singers make have on the same song 👀 could be fun!

Please, we need a reaction to Phantom of the Opera! (2004 version) There is incredible music and vocals performed by Emmy Rossum, including Gerald Butler as the phantom. Is and will forever be my favorite musical.

The movies are a bit cringy gradually (mostly just Addison, IMO), but the songs are very good. My favorite at the moment are “Alien Invasion” (particularly the aliens’ line) and “Come On Out” from Zombies 3.
Oh yes! Don't know the movies (yet) but I did hear some of the songs and they are great!

An episode of Glee that I think you will love is 2x18 'Born This Way.' It is my personal favorite episode just because it has so many amazing performances, which I know you will appreciate too! It will also give you the chance to hear more from characters you haven't really heard before, such as Finn, Quinn, and Kurt! It is such an amazing episode and I believe you will absolutely love it :)

If you need another idea of something to react to, the third season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is currently releasing weekly. Seems like every episode has two songs, so you’d probably want to react to a batch of 2 or 3 episodes at a time.

Sharpay forever an iconic legend
So happy you finally watched this! Yes overall the movie isn't perfect, but I love her character development. I mean she was the type of person who wouldn't really do anything to help others but she so desperately wanted Boi to get in the show she was willing to clean someone's toilet. I feel like she really grows to understand what it means to be nice. Sure at times she was nice during HSM movies but by the next movie she was back to her usual self where she seemed to hate everyone.
