I slept with the heater on and windows closed while i always open a little for air. I think i was very dehydrated but i have it more often but not this bad. I think its really dehydration because i also smoke and drink allot of caffeine thats also dehydrating the body allot . I drink water too but i think i need more ! Thanks it makes sense
Suffered from this for 16 months and was not investigated enough by my doctor. Turns out it was not orthostatic hypotension at all. It was a heart block in the AV node. Emergency, intensive care, and a pacemaker surgery later, I am much better. It was NOT vascular at all, it was the electrical signal in my heart.
This literally happened to me last night was talking to my grandmother got up to go use the restroom and get me something to eat afterwards I didn’t make it past the living room door before I fell backwards when I came to I was shaken up plus I have heart issues all I can say is it was scary asf being upright on two feet to waking up on the ground the next and my poor grandmother was freaking out and there wasn’t much she can do since she just had hip surgery after breaking it from a fall im doing better now but it’s self nerve racking to think about so since I am a cancer survivor so at my next appointment with my doctor I’ll let them know about the incident that way I can hopefully get an answer as to what caused it, all I can say is if you stand up too fast and feel light headed sit back down it’s better if you pass out in the couch than to walk and drop like a fly on the hard floor!
I'm only 16 is this normal I stand up and my head stastarts pounding but not with pain and I get so dizzy I cant stand and if I try it is so hard or I'll collapse and it feels like my legs are giving out and I feel like this is I little scary
I used to get this all the time when I was your age and so did my bro and a bunch of other friends I know. Seemed pretty normal as part of growing at that age.
The news just wouldn’t be the news without digging into the absolute worst case
OMG, that microphone there is giving me Orthostatic hypotension.

@@GorlockSlayer what’d did you do to fix it
does smoking 🍃 make it worse?
Absolutely. Smoking restrict air flow
Smoking always make ur life worse in all ways
No need to doubt it
What dose it mean when you get dizzy every time you stand up odd buzzing noise and a metallic taste in the mouth
i watched this right after it happened
Dehydration and lack of electrolytes is the usual cause.
Thanks
