The best I can say is that I left the US because I was bored with the US. I didn't know I was bored until I happened to find someplace more appealing, in my case, Thailand. Once here for a year or so I could look back and, with some surprise, realize I didn't miss the US. I had a house and a marriage and plenty of money to stay in the US but I just had an epiphany to move on. That was 7 years ago and what I see happening in the US since then makes me content to be out of there.

Sir, I just happen to see your Channel and I decided to watch it to the finish and I enjoyed it. I am a Filipina living in Los Angeles ,California for more than 30 years, Now that Ex.President is running again, I no longer feel safe living here. Daily shootings, Purse and Cell Phone snatching ,just yesterday , several guys robbing a Dept. Store. I have thought of leaving the U.S.but at my age, I am scared to travel. So right now all I can do is Pray and hope for the best. Your Channel is very informative. Welcome to my beautiful Country and God.Bless You Sir!

Hi Mimi, my guess is you probably wouldn’t have a hard time getting comfortable in the Philippines. So, I would think about this: you can stay in the United States and feel unsafe for the rest of your life, or jump in and feel scared for a couple of days on your way to the Philippines. I’m 71 and about to move overseas permanently. I’m not going to the Philippines right now, but I may end up there. In any case, you could probably find someone who is also going around the same time you are ready to go, and you could travel together. Strength in numbers! I wish I was in a position to help you. I’m sure other people would feel the same way, and I doubt you would have much difficulty in arranging company for traveling as well as help getting settled. Good luck, and don’t give up!

Thanks for your videos. I came to the Philippines over 14 years ago. I tried to go back in 2016 and lasted a year. I thought about returning this year again until I started seeing all the mass shootings, the most recent in Alabama. Then the BBC reported that in the US, so far in 2024, there have been more than 400 mass shootings (criteria is minimum 4 killed) just this year already. There isn't a safe place in the US any more.
When I was in elementary school, we had only 2 things to concern us - fire and earthquakes. I don't know how parents can handle sending their children to school not knowing if the children will return. Or children being run out of their classrooms with hands in the air.
About "incompetent" leaders, there have been 2 Presidents whose wives seem to be running the executive branch. One was a democrat and the other was a republican. There needs to be some real people who can step forward and really lead and not dictate like the way it seems to be now. Anyone can be a Hitler, or a Mussolini, or a Stalin. We need some one like a Washington, a Churchill, or a de Gaulle.

Everyone is at each others throats, men and women tend to despise each other, drugs seem to be more prevalent and people are having less children. I smell the rot of a dying nation.

I tried living in the Philippines back in 2002 after visiting several times since 95. I'll give a typical Americans answer. I like my conveniences that i worked 40+ years to maintain and I'm not letting a corporation that acts like a government run me out of my own country that I served 18 years in the Air Force and 12 years Federal Civil Service for a total of nearly 38 years of government service including civil service disability for time and pay purposes because of their evil politics. I leave politics alone because there's just no reason to let it control your mental state. What happens is gonna happen and God is in control and he will be back soon to set the record straight. You either believe or you don't believe. The choice is yours! If you can handle the differences of living in the Philippines versus the US then I see nothing wrong with it. Well I certainly understand the fears of Americans today. The U.S. has become unstable and the American dream has become designated for the extremely wealthy. It has been proven that Biden had dementia which is why he is no longer running and Trump also continues to display his lunacy which is scary. I am an independent and no longer trust politicians. So I decided to take care of my future on my own terms. I appreciate your video.

Yes but have it Apostilled at your Secretary of States Office….however once you enter PH ….after 6 months you will have to re-do a clearance thru the NBI office of the Philippines
All depends on whether you are doing your 13a spousal visa in the US or in PH… I have heard it’s easier to do it in the US

From a retired persons perspective with some common sense, lol. I have done the math, and between inflation and the COLA increases not keep up, that in another 5 years, I would be on the streets. California is not much different politically than Massachusetts, and the tax and spend crowd is ferocious. I'm coming for financial reasons, and that is the bottom line as the United States is just not feasible to stay in. Are there cheaper places to live? Perhaps, but they make the philippines look like paradise and still aren't as affordable. I'm not one to make knee-jerk reactions, and I have done my recon missions and my homework weighing the pros and cons about moving overseas, and it just makes sense. If the ever approved Medicare for expats, then I would throw all my crap in a dumpster and get on a plane .

FYI I personally dont think the US is headed into a depression. We are headed into a state , that is very much like the Phillipines. If you drive around Manilla you will notice that the top 20 percent of people are living very nicely. They have very nice homes and nice cars, own land. But the bottom 80 percent live in desperate poverty. The middle class is very small. Therefore, those with assets and jobs are getting more and more wealthy each year. You can see it year to year, every year I go back I see new buildings and new fancier cars. However, the slums in Manilla stay the same, or keep growing. America is heading into a place wherein the wealthy are wealthier than they have ever been, but the lower class is becoming more desperate, and will become more desperate as time goes on. The wealthy maintain their political advantage, even though the lack the physical numbers, by attaining a stronger and stronger clasp on the media and tech firms. Therefore, they can switch the argument away from real issues like the poorer quality of living for the lower class, to whatever they want it to be. Therefore, they are no longer "beholden" to the voters, and the voters will not demand more. I am truly seeing America becoming more and more like the Phillipines each and every year. There are fancy buildings and cars everywhere, but more and more homeless tents being set up right beside them.

Half of all Americans now have a passport ! Must be looking for greener pastures ? Inflation is absurd and out of control in the US ! Affordable housing is unavailable. Illegals by the millions scattered all over the country have exacerbated the lower cost housing shortage. --- I'm "teetering" - and on the verge of moving to the Philippines for financial reasons myself. Many have left for E & W Europe - Mexico - Central & S America also ! + S E Asia all over the various countries - with the Philippines not as popular - 'so far'. --?-- 🤔 I think the need to self insure in your 70's is keeping many from the Philippines. (?) Some countries like Ecuador offers health insurance coverage for senior expat pensioners - and - discounts on many necessities including airfare !

As far as debt, we have to do something to become competitive with the rest of the world. We have out priced ourselves. We definitely have to pay down our debts.
Did you watch the debate? I know there were issues from the people asking the questions, but even with that, I think both candidates failed tremendously.
