What Germany needs, wants and acts to get skilled immigrants are completely different from each other. The very fact that I waited over 6 months for a work visa, despite having a signed contract with a company was shocking back in 2017 as it is shocking for my younger family members going through the same nearly year-long process in a totally different country! There is no respect for skilled people, before coming here and even after move. I was even shouted at for not speaking German only 3 months in, in a foreigners office.
I came to Germany as a master's student, funded by the European Union. I am going to move somewhere else because of exactly what you said, being expected to speak German 3 months in is insane. German is not easy to learn, the Netherlands are much more tolerant about foreigners not speaking Dutch in the first trimester.
They actually need labour, cheap labour and skilled labour as well😅 But remember every business has its own requirements like speaking German language is one of them. System is not perfect here but people shouldn’t come without doing the research.
Which would be fine provided that all unions are reformed. But even without the union reformation, it would be a much better method of "reallocation" of wealth that the left cares so much about. But no, the left wants the low wages that immigration allows

It's easy to cross into Germany if you simply throw away passport at the border. However, the bureaucratic marathon that skilled immigrants face is exhausting. Ironically, Germany has discontinued its program to accept Afghans who assisted the German army, as well as those who served as civil servants and judges. Now, these individuals are left at the mercy of the Taliban
But the big question is, is in high degree among all the immigrants of the last ten years, high skilled workers? Or in the contrary the majority are just human waste?

As for AfD advocating leaving the EU...correct me if I am wrong, but...when Germany adopted the EURO, the fact that the Euro-zone included countries with weak economies meant that Germany's products were priced more cheaply in the world market...thus making Germany's products far more attractive to foreign buyers. In short, the ultra-strong Deutsche Mark was a deterrent to the foreign market. Joining the EURO-zone boosted the German economy. Do the AfD supporters know this?
