Great video, brother. I would love to learn some techniques from you. Im wanting to compete soon.
Great video ❤
Great review enjoying the content!
Very good and detailed review!
Awesome review!
Great review!!!
Great video, lots of detail. I don't consider this gun to be a glock clone.
Great video. Noticed you mentioned no malfunctions in over 1500 rounds. Any idea offhand how many rounds you have now and any malfunctions (assuming gun is still bone stock besides added red dot)? Also, would the ports be a concern for shrapnel spray during retention shooting or no?
@@saintmichael753 Before I got rid of it… I shot approx another 1000rds and it started to have extraction issues every 50 rounds or so. I installed a gen3 Glock extractor and that alleviated that (common fix for Zevs). I temporarily put on a Timney trigger and that about the only thing I did to it after this video aired and was fine other than what I mentioned.
As far Shrapnel Spray, that’s honestly a great question and haven’t considered that. Generally speaking, I’m thinking you’d have to be a considerate with how you hold any ported/compensated gun from retention… but I couldn’t give you an honest answer on that
I confused by the wording on the idpa rues on this can. I'm reading you have to replace it with a non ported barrel and then its ok to use.
Here’s the rule directly form the latest versions (March 23)… under ESP Permitted modifications, rule A.2.3.2
Compensated and ported barrels that are incorporated into the firearm.
@@TheGentlemanGunner thank you so much. I must've read the old version or something. Also your channel got me into competitive shooting back in October thank you for all the work on you r videos.
zev needs to work on their systems. the hypercomp has a non replaceable pinned blacked out front sight that won’t co witness with a lot of optics. in which i even asked zev and they don’t even know of any compatible front sights.
optics cut is almost proprietary that makes the optics sit really high
non ambidextrous slide stop/ release.
“new” gen 5 internals but not compatible with gen 5 glock internal parts.
honestly i regret making my zev oz9v2 hypercomp purchase
So… is the only Dif between V1 and V2 the fact it uses Gen 5 internals?
Paul, would you review your MPA , please 🙏
One day! Currently shooting them now 😎
Have you ran a Shadow System DR920P it’s basically a comped 19
I’ll try to hit two birds with one stone from your other question….
I actually have shot the the DR920P and In general like it. Love how light it is… even lighter than the the Zev I reviewed. It definitely does the job.
However…and this leads into your other question… I really really really want to love Shadow Systems as they’re local to me and they DO make a good gun… but for me they’re the “middle man” between Glock and Zev… and the middle man always gets rubbed out in business (shark tank quote, can’t remember who said it lol). For what it is and what you get, it presents a good value… they’ve got a better grip module and some design features that are good looking… the shooting experience between SS and Glock is virtually identical. That said, Zev does all of it better… everything. I once went and held a SS and Zev… there’s a noticeable difference in just holding the Zev… fit/finish, weight, balance and shooting an OZ9 is what clearly sets it apart from the SS/Glock.
@@TheGentlemanGunner thanks for responding I just moved to Arlington Tx so SS is close to me aswell I have MR and DRP which is currently at SS getting fixed have over 8k rds thru it and Still have malfunctions from time to time reason I sent it in was stove pipe and when the case would eject it would hit my optic
I think SS is right in middle
I def wanna get my hands on Zev
Maybe in future we can get together and go to the range
I dare some one to put a tru glow TFO on that front sight post lmao
also you got an email at 6:44
I want to see someone do this too 😂
Hows that zev rocking do you think the zev is better than a staccato?
Both have their strengths and weaknesses. Do I think one is better than the other? Not necessarily. I think this particular Zev is an ideal EDC option… lightweight, small footprint, and excellent to shoot… and even better with defensive rounds. Depending on what Staccato we’re talking about… I’ll go with the P as I haven’t shot a CS or any of the small frame ones… but in general a solid and consistent shooting platform. It would be ideal for competition as I could tailor and tune it to my specifications while making power factor would not concern me (which is big and the reason I don’t shoot the Zev in comps often).
@@TheGentlemanGunner thank you for getting back 🙏🏻
What is the name of the glock 19 Zev grip?
“Compact” Grip
@@TheGentlemanGunner thank you btw awesome review
Well done P.
Well Done T 💪🏻
Do you EDC this? Is it still reliable?
I don’t edc ths gun, but it still works
What class does a radian ramjet Oz9c with a magwell fall into?
Well… there’s quite a few more questions. But your dimensions will dictate that more than what parts you have on. All the rules are fairly ambiguous for aftermarket parts and will vary by area coordinator… on what aftermarket comps/barrels are allowed

Humble Marksman brought me here
He did too! (Seriously) 😂
