I have both in same exact sizes. I bought them several years ago. Copper is very focused, fantastic crack, dry woody tones. Brass is more open, not very focused, worse crack, more overtones, more juice.
Preferred the Copper in this video. Still prefer a 6.5 size overall.
The mics isn't good, it needs to be ribbon mics! The snares are great both and thank you for this post.
PSYou are wrong about weight and density! Copper is more dense and weight more than brass! Justy check any technical source about it.
I stand corrected. I was thinking of the hardness, not the density, but stated it incorrectly.
