Great video. But I feel the ghost kinda dont make any sense unless you put some story around it. Maybe the video should have ended back in the flat zooming in on an older photograph on the shelf or a drawer or something, of a real kid sitting on a chair playing the cello with the hat. Just a thought ;-)
It was my first time renting them but I’m a fan! You lose quite a bit of resolution because of the 1.8 squeeze, I cropped off the sides, but cool for certain things.
Great video! Seems like you guys had a bunch of fun on set, but also, really informative for us filmmakers still learning the ropes. Thanks for sharing that!
Love it! 😊👍 Hey Eric! I’ve been thinking of asking you for a while. I just got a C70 myself. I remember from one of your old videos (I think you were going with a band on tour) you used a bunch of other SD cards other than V90. V90’s being so darn expensive I wanted to ask for your experience. Have you ever had any problems with non-V90 cards? Is it V60 that you use? Do you have any particular brand/model you recommend? Thank you!! 😊 (ps. Love your videos!)
Hey, I have occasionally used slower cards in a pinch and never ran into buffering issues… although the camera will warn you that there might be issues when you try it. However, I have NOT tested it thoroughly with raw modes, slow motion, etc. I’d recommend just investing a few V90 cards and resting easy that your shoot isn’t in jeopardy because you wanted to save a couple hundred bucks on cards. I’ve been using the same three cards for 3+ years, small price for the peace of mind.
@@SoundItOutFilms Thank you very much for your answer! You’re absolutely right. It’s not worth the risk. And in the long run the cost ain’t that bad. I will go for V90. May I ask, what card sizes do you use? I’ve so far bought 2x 128GB Prograde V90’s. But it seems they won’t last me very long 😅
@@M13337I shoot almost exclusively on V60s and have never had a problem in the C70. I use AngelBird cards, and shoot in RawST at 23.98. If I need to capture 60fps+, I use my V90s. This allows me to have 80% of my cards at V60, and just a few V90s for high FPS. The key is to use a software like BlackMagic Speed Test, and determine your cards sustained write speed (for example, I get just over 100MBs with a V60). Then shoot for only using 70% of that, max. With Canon RawLT ST, you need about 400mbps, or 50MBs. So a V60 will very comfortably support that sustained write speed.
Nice work! Well done to you and your team who made this! 😃
Amazing !
But with the 1.8 anamorphic you must had to crop a tone of informations right ?
Yup! You can see at 1:05 I had the sides cropped with white lines on the monitor.
"That's some betternees!" The best line I have ever heard on set.
this dude is brilliant. good song too - video was fun! made me laugh, made me cry

Love the cinematography! What brand/model was the haze machine? It looks very portable!

@@J_HNP That’s super useful to know. Thank you for your amazing answer! Happy holidays :)
Great BTS video, really nicely put together and excellent direction on set. Thanks for sharing your process!
how do you like that osee monitor?
It sure is bright!
This was so much fun. Thanks for sharing this, Eric. You really get a beautiful look out of the C70.
Really enjoyed this …. and love the song too
this is dope
you are dope
This is great! I loved the garage setup at the end.
Thanks for the nice BTS video 😊🙌🏼
Did you use digital IS when shooting using the backpack rig?
Nah, just the easy rig. We also shot anamorphic which I think would confuse the hell out of the digital IS which is designed for spherical.
Ahh I see....😅 thanks a lot. Regards from Norway 🤜🏼
