Thanks for your kind words. Be able to look out for a new video regarding this regarding more advanced features such as remote access using your TP-Link
I was told that the SSID is involved in the wpa encryption and it should be a set of ramdom characters. Putting existing words in the ssid weakens the encryption. What is your opinion on this?
That is a good question. The SSID is basically your network name. Most places have it set to something they can look at and know what it is. The PSK is the key to get on to that SSID I would use a random characters but with something you can member such as #Like&Sub2BlackBurnInTech. As far as putting existing words in that weakens the encryption I would say you can add them but add more to it. In order to "crack" it requires finding the hash for the password. The more you add and more types of carters the harder it is to do. Thanks for watching
It makes it a little more difficult for someone to guess it but more importantly if you're going to use the remote access VPN feature of this router it helps to not have the same IP address information as someone else's
If you have a static IP address that would be something you'd have put in manually. As long as you're plugged in on the yellow ports should give you an IP address with a gateway to manage it. Thanks for watching be sure to like and subscribe
Brother in Christ. Please buy asus router next time. Even better a gaming asus router. Maybe even 3 wireless networks asus router. But tp-link has awesome archer axe16000 router. But you should use what you like. But invest in your network infrastructure. You can be god of wifi and ethernet with some lan moon dust. But with asus bro. Asus makes best shit on a market right now. Like rapture models or tuf models or even average ax models. Great that you like your new expirience. Have a great weekend. Thank You. Best chrome bro asus.
Thanks for the suggestion. That is definitely something that's going to be an upcoming video. Going to the store and grabbing off the shelf router and doing a zero to hero. As always thanks for watching!

Hi Blackburn Tech , How to restrict data in guest network , any idea?
why is it more secure to chnge the LAN ip address? as you do from 0>99
It makes it a little more difficult for someone to guess it but more importantly if you're going to use the remote access VPN feature of this router it helps to not have the same IP address information as someone else's
nothing comes up in the default gateway for me

If my router is scanable does it mean it's not secure?
You can always scan what ports are open but for best practices it is best to lock it down as much as possible
@@BlackburnInTech do you have a video on how to make the router unscanable
Its perfectly safe to have visible router among other routers in networks list.
Thanks
