I had a Kawasaki H2 750 2 stroke triple. It was quick as could be. But it was not refined. You felt everything. Then I owned a GT380 two stroke and it was still very quick but smooth as butter.
Maybe not the very best bike I ever owned, but looking back one of the best loved, I echo your sentiments. I had the Coronado blue, yellow and white, bought in September 75. Made made come over all melancholy like.......
Very nice video. Thanks! 0:35 Took a ride down the memory lane with a GT380-K, blue with yellow / white stripes. My very first bike ever. I was 18 years old..... Bought in 1975. Sold in 1980.
The model years were actually '71-'76 with a candle apple red for late '71. I had the canyon red which was really a '73. Rode it cross country after high school.
Yep, Wheeezer3, I've got a 550 and you're absolutely correct. I wonder why the video creator wouldn't use an actual 380 engine shot, given all the great pics he has to choose from ?? None the less, it's still a nice "time capsule" of the various 380s.

DAMN FAST BIKE THANKSSUKIKI GREAT BIKE
The engine shown up close right at the start is actually a GT550, as evidenced by the location of the tachometer cable.

My favorite motorcycle, I had a 76. Long sixth gear wheelies with my girlfriend on the back...
the shits getting real deep. I had the same bike, red 76. wouldn't pull the wheel in 1st gear. it was nearly new when bought.
Was it running on two cylinders?

no, all three. they were just slow bikes, way to heavy for the barely 32 horse power they made. it did all it could do. @@gareth5000
Mine was fast! Not compared to my cbx but as a fun thrasher. I still remember it as my favorite bike:)
good bike 👌👌
My dad bought a red one in 73
REAL QUALITY MOTERCYCLE
Give my bike back.
Strange how the colour and decals seem to change the shape and " poise " of the bike - if you know what I mean.
Had an orange 73
OOOHHHYES
Not as fast as the Kawasaki with its rotor valve on intake.
The Avenger A7 had 45hp and was really strong - until the disc valve covers wore out.
