I have owned 3 of these 380s model M and model As and also 3 GT550s ( all 550ms) . Yours sounds a bit less "crackly" than any of mine did. I am wondering whether I used to run with more or less advance that you do. As regards seizing the middle cylinder. Never had any issue. Middle cylinder crank seals were a real pain though, Out of 6 triple engines I had to have reconditioned cranks on 3 of them due to poor middle cylinder crank seals.Never had the kettle.
No Gt380 don't seize on middle pot unless you kept thrashing it a lot... I had 2 of those bikes and never had a issue with the middle pot. I toured al over the UK too, even all the way to Scotland (I lived in Brighton) never had a problem with the middle pot. But I did check the timing from time to time..
Fantastic job........another one saved. They were a great bike, and still are.
yup
She is a real credit to your skill and patience

My high school bike!
Great job. A lot of hard work. Very enjoyable watch. Thanks.
Fantastic. Real skill and also an art I wish I could do this, my father was good but unfortunately it skipped a generation with me.
My father is a retired motor mechanic and football fanatic. I got the mechanical side but I can't stand football!
Well done man!! looks and sounds wonderful - just thinking of taking on a similar project 👍🏍🏍👍
Go for it!

Great job!!
What a result.
Thanks, a lot of work involved, some I didn't video but wish I had. I completely stripped the engine, all new bearing & seals including the crank.

They kept seizing on middle pot. Bring on water cooling.
Also had a GT185
I had a 380, and put ONE Temp range COOLER Spark Plug in the Middle Cylinder. Made a HUGE Difference in running!
