Got a gold one in my garage 1976. Just recomissioned it and light resto on it. Was last on the road in 1986. Rides great , looks great. And just found set if new old stock exhausts for 259 quid! Not that it needs them , but it will look good with new ones, old ones will get more 😉
I had the chance to buy a really nice running one on about 2003 for $400 bucks and I didn't bother, wish I had. This one was nice but needed going through. Think it ended up in Wales, I sold it to the guys at D&K
Fond memories of mine. The sound from the original pipes was like nothing that I had heard before or since. Clocked up 35k miles on mine before I sold it. It never missed a beat.
they were all 6 sp... silky smooth & dont ring rattle like the kwaka's... georgeous burble at idle... ram air prevented combustion ping, pre ignition 2-strokes had trouble with back then... quite often pull heads to find craters in the pistons
I had one during high school and through college. Road it everywhere year round as it was my only transportation. Wish I had seen it for sale. I would have given you the 2k no problem. Still on the lookout for one preferably a Red one as thats the color mine was.
Lucky trade. Those pipes are in fantastic condition. You dont see that very often. Yes the 380 early year had the drum brakes, at least I have seen one with the drum. My high-school buddy had one, exact same color so I believe yours is a 73 model.
Minä ostin 1973 uutena aivan samanlaisen ja saman värisen suzuki 380 GT,sillon ei niitä tullut kovin monta Suomeen.En tiedä missä suzuki tällä hetkellä on?

Thanks for showing this bike. I'm sure it would be a great runner with some attention given to it
