Hi Marie, this is Paul from the UK, love your garden. The strawberries will send out flowers and wherever a flower is you should get strawberries. Oh and yes once a runner sends down roots and becomes its own plant you can then cut the vine. Enjoy making your garden beautiful again.
Hi Paul 👋🏿 thanks so much for the great info. Looking forward to seeing you in the next video

Hey Marie. I'm the one from Manchester Jamaica living in Georgia, heading to Africa. Someone asked me what crops I plant in Georgia. The ones that survive the winter months are rosemary, fennel, thyme, skellion, marjoram, sage, and pepper mint. All these I plant. The ones that do not survive are moringa, corn, ochro, callaloo, and basil. Once you plant callaloo seeds once you don't have to replant again. The seeds get dispersed even in places where you never planted. The pepper mint will never die because the roots are runners. my neighbor is from Cambodia. One year I saw some big leaf ceresse running on his fence. He also has gully bean plants that will come back if the winter is not harsh. He does not know how the gully bean tree came there, but the other neighbor across the street has a bunch of gully bean trees in his back yard. So obviously the birds must have ate the seeds from across the road and dropped it in his back yard. They work with Jamaicas who buy the gully beans for $5 per pound. One year I bought a couple pounds. Last year I think the winter was harsh and I didn't get any. That reminds me to go check tomorrow to see how they are looking, cause you know the gully bean gets hard quickly. It is just like the ochro. So all these crops I see in Atlanta. One year the Cambodians even grew sugar came at the side of their house. It died in the winter time however. I grew up on 120 acres of land so farming is in my blood. I hope whoever asked that question reads this cause the system wouldn't allow me to reply individually
Oh wow I really hope they do see this. Thanks for sharing 👍
You are amazing
The hurricane season is just starting but growing food must continue. Your garden will be better than before, so keep doing what you do best.
Thank you, I will
You are going to come back bigger and better love ❤️ 😍 💖
Thank you so much ☺️
Oh wow! It's still windy! I love your resilient spirit 😊
Very windy 😐

Thank you so much ☺️
Doing great, all be up soon, favor🤞🏾🤚🏿
Thank you so much for the vote of confidence
Hey Marie. I'm from Manchester, Jamaica. Now in Atlanta Georgia, heading to Africa. Grew up on a farm. You can't plant the potatoe like that. You have to put the potato down for a couple weeks. Once it starts to rot, it will start shooting little stems. Then you cut the potato in maybe 2 or 3 sections. Then plant. I like the channel. I plant here in Atlanta, in flower pots. I don't have a lot of space, but I have parsley, Rosemary, basil, sage, skellion, time, mint, fennel, scotch bonnet peppers among other things. Keep up the work. Only one way to go. Up. !!. Blessings !!
Thank you so much ☺️ I really appreciate the advice and welcome anymore you may have. I am learning as I go
Hi do you plant those plants all year around in Georgia?
Hello Marie! Looks like Beryl has hit the USA, lots wind and heavy rain!!! The garden looks great! Much Love Ms Linda
I pray Beryl doesn't cause anymore problems 🙏 😪 God bless 🙏
Your peppers are the most beautiful ever
Thank you so much ☺️
Oh Marie, after about 3 years strawberries stop producing fruit but will continue to grow. Keep all the runners from the plant and then you'll always have new plants for another 3 years to keep on growing fruit. Bless
Oh wow, Paul I didn't know that. Thanks so much 🙏
Congrats 🎉
Thank you so very much

Always hard at work
Oh yes
It is a good thing you are doing. Clean up and replant and everything will be back to normal. Have a wonderful day.
Thank you so much ☺️ I appreciate the support ☺️ 🙏
Hi Marie, I love your beautiful garden. I hope everyone takes your advice to plant a little garden now with vegetables because there will be a lot of price gouging going on. St Elizabeth is the bread basket of the island, and because they were hit the hardest from the hurricane, there will likely be a shortage of fresh produce.
Definitely 💯 thanks so much for backing me on this. Appreciate it 🙏
My dear Marie my name is miss Ivy.and am saying all is not lost.it could be worst but starting over is nothing new for farming keep the sprit you have your husband is God bless you will soon be back in your beautiful Gardens

Good day girl all that work I wish I could help you I love ur spirit ❤❤❤❤
I know you would definitely help. But the support I get from you, I couldn't ask for more
Hi Marie the peanuts is blooming I don't think they need to be pollinated. That's just how they grow. The friut will be on the roots.😊😊
Thanks for the info! I appreciate it ☺️ 💗
The flowers means that it is starting to produce peanuts. Soon you will have peanuts awesome.
That's amazing 👏 🤩 thank you
Hi Marie, for your peanut plants, they will flower then once the flower dies back it will send a type of peg/root that will grow down into the soil. It is from this peg that the peanuts will form
Thank you so so much 💗 💓
Yes prices will go up☘
Definitely 💯
Well atleast you will still have some turnips soon 😊
Definitely!
Good afternoon congratulations the flowers on the peanut. Is where the peanut is going to form its going to go on the ground
Very interesting, I appreciate you 🙏
The strawberries will produce from the mother plant & eventually the runners. Once the runner roots are well established, you can cut it from the mother plant so it does continue to drain the mother plant of energy. Good luck!
Thank you so very much. I appreciate your support 🙏 ❤️
Marie, don't worry about the papaya that broke. It will grow back.
OK, thanks for the reassurance 🙏 appreciate it
Strawberries produce from mother plants☘
Thank you Stacey girl
Watching from Canada you look familiar
Really!!! It's a small world 🌎
You are awesome ❤
Thank you so much. I appreciate you so much ☺️ 💛
The flowers on the peanut means it’s casting the shell is coming together
OK thanks for that

I really appreciate that, thank you so much ☺️ 🙏 💓
❤
Thank you so much ☺️ 💓
Yes aunty Marie I agree with you with the planting but the worms on my cucumber and popchoi and I can't find them
Search in the soil around the base of your plants 🪴 sometimes they hide there
How do you keep insects away from yours plants
Yes it’s normal to see yellow flowers on the peanut plant. It’s a sign that you soon to have peanuts coming.
Oh wow! That was quick isn't it? Thank you so much for that
You have to mould the peanuts the higher you mould them the more they produce put alot of dirt at the roots. As high as you see vains you put dirt
I will do so tomorrow morning. Thanks for that info 👍
The weather is really disturbing for sure
Why do you say that?
When the peanuts start flowering it is a sign that pods are forming . When the flowers dry off ,and the leaves start turning yellow it means the nuts are maturing. As for the strawberries the fruits bear on the mother plants.
Such a big help, thank you so very much my friend 🧡
On a different note I noticed that you have several corn seedlings growing in one container. Corns are heavy feeders ,and should be about 20 inches apart for best results. In general if your plants are too tightly spaced so that they have to compete for nutrients you will have very poor harvests.
@@eyeandisinclair821 we have different beliefs as it relates to that corn 🌽 thing. They can be planted even closer as long as enough nutrients in the soil. I've always planted them this way. You may go back and check out some of my corn harvests
E very csrefull of the wind.my garden take a hit with water thank god it no life
I hope you bounce back from it
I told my family in St Catherine Old Harbour to plant and I sent grow bags. Ants and bugs took it over every time
Yes! The pests are a real problem. But we just have to keep researching and finding creative ways to combat them.
The peanut grow below the soil
I know that much 😆
Know what I bought this thing that u spin for food scraps but the door doesnt attach so good. I pull it down to throw away then I remember you trying to get planters. Mi feel bad but u guve me a thought and I am going yo lay it flat on its sides to plant ginger an tumeric in them. And I have plans for a twin mattress to throw away also. Will be taking some videos. You the best girl❤
Yes plant in them and please send me photos when you do. Thanks again for being a member. I appreciate your support 🙏 ❤️
@@FarmingOnTheRocks will do
@@movingforward2570 lovely 😍
You will get strawberries on the runners also
Thank you so much ☺️ 💓 I appreciate it
So
😊
The strawberries produce on the mother plant, don't sever the runner until it takes root
OK, thanks so much 🙏 ☺️
The peanut is bearing when the trees dru down they are ready to dig nuts under ground
Thank you so much ☺️ 💓
The Peanuts are budding they are bearing now I suppose.
Wow! Thank you for that
Good to.see that you have not.given on your garden. The Lord will.help you to bounce back. By the way .what part of Jamaica are you gardening?
I'm in Kingston 17
Thanks for responding. Did you have to 'truck in' alot of soil. I am doing a Court yard type of backyard gardening. I have to replant some things as well.
All the soil in the garden had to be brought in. We have absolutely no soil on the property
The big strawberry runing it can cut off it is big enough now
OK thanks, I will get a pot and do that ASAP
@@FarmingOnTheRocks you're welcome
Eat the little red okra Marie 😂 I wanted to grab it and munch on it and you just tossed it 😆
Lol, hush
