i want to know if the M6 in this g code will work as well as the one in the video if i configure the mach 3 properly as shown?
Hi, this is only a Basic Tool changer, If "M6 T1" is used, the Macro should Change Tool to Number 1.
It will not Move anywhere, it will not set any Tool Lengths.
If you need anything Additional, that can be achieved by Editing the Macro, by you or me, However if I were to do it, I would need to know a great deal more about your system.

Thanks Alan! My spindle won't accurately align with previous cuts after a tool change, or even just after stopping. How can I configure it properly?
djangodev, After a Tool-Change Why do you want to go back to where you were, surely you’d want to go to where the Next Tool-path begins.
@@alanrobbo6980 Sorry, if I have a tool change programmed it does fine. When I pause it and change the tool manually or pause for any reason, it doesn't start the next move in the right spot upon resuming.
djangodev, after a Tool Change, The next line in the Gcode should tell it where to go next.
djangodev, This is a Tool-Change Macro, the Only positions needed to know are Where the Tool-Clips are.
Your Machining Position is not needed, this is Controlled by the users G-Code.

are you using a probe to set the z height on the tool then?
Tony's Refinishing, I use a pice of Flat copper as the Touch plate, which is connected to one side of the Input, and the tool to to the other side of the Input, the Thickness of the Touchplate is set in its DRO.
