When the market turned down and they started losing, ,the brokers liquidated their shares to provide more margin, causing a downward vicious circle. On a lighter note, here in Britain there is a joke 'A stockbroker is someone who invests your money till it's all gone'.

It's one of my favorites, Karen Valentine was huge in the 70's.she was TGIF back in the 70's.
